FaNDaNGo is beginning to sprout.

Heres a link that talks about it on the lower half of the page. You seem to be the resident expert on how plants work

bgetting is starting to vegetate.

First off, whoever wrote that is a f*cking idiot, and has not knowledge of plants. That is written to bias people into buying their product. Where do I begin...

First, organicn fruits and vegetables taste better than hydro. go get a hydro tomato and a vine ripened organic and you tell me. Sugar and some TCA acids can help that, but not nearly what organic does for flavor. Dumb ass.

Next, organics cannot burn plants because they are not in the form that plants use. He is right that there is variability in organics, but not like he is saying. It's actually much easier and less labor intensive than hydro gardening. So he is stupid there too.

Chemical ferts are what burn plants, because the nutes are all rushing in, and usually present in high conc. If he thinks that it is possible to overfertilize by mixing organic soil then he is retarded too. Most people I know just mix soil and never think about it again, or at most once or twice while the plant is flowering. Aack, I hate that guy.

As for the rest of it, he is right about carbon being needed, but it is obvious that he has no idea how a plant works. Sugars are made by photosynthesis, which is easy. N is used to make amino acids and then proteins, which run everything. His reasoning in that blurb is bullsh*t. Sorry to say it, but it is profit he is trying to make, and I have a simpler way.

This is what I ahve been pushing here for a while, and OzGrowa has joined me with his support. Plants cannot absorb a 40-80 carbon chain Phospolipid through the roots. They can however absorb sucrose and fructose. This is raw can sugar, which also contains some TCA acids such as citric acid, isocitric acid, malic acid, oxaloacetic acid, etc... The point being that plants can use these small carbon based molecules, and they are great for energy. I wouldn't use it all the time due to bacteria eating them faster than the plant can get them, but I clear for the last two weeks using nothing but DI water with 2 tsp. per gallon of raw cane sugar. Sometimes I will even add some citric acid, it just depends how spanky I feel. As for this guy, I am e-mailing him. This is as bad a s the sh*t Jorge has been publishing in High Times, and must go.

Good find FanDango!

heheheheh you go begetting!!! i am curious to his response to your email yea after i read the lines about organics burning the plants i had to raise an eyebrow (imitation of Spock) cause it sure didn't agree with my experience with organic and chem ferts. and i read the thread about adding raw sugar when finishing. i figured i would try it in 2 of the 6 plants i have going now. thanx for confirming my doubts about this stuff.

no problem...

I will post the response, if I get one. I should, since I called also. Nothing like being director of a lab to get people to respond, they think for some reason that they have to. Cracks me up.
