as a matter of fact, it only really gets ripe if left for a couple of days. a fresh batch is almost un-noticeable. i was turned onto the mix by someone in my area who has tried everything under the sun (at least everything he is willing to try. he has a thing about neem oil...). he also pointed out that the sulphur is useable by the plants, as is the seaweed (he continues with the seaweed bi-weekly as a foliar feed. the plants seem to dig it.). from what i've seen, experienced, and sampled, bud treated with the sulphur/seaweed spray has no adverse taste if the treatment is stopped 4 weeks from harvest. after trying neem, baking soda, excel lg, burning sulphur, etc, i have found this treatment to be the most effective over prolonged periods (3-4 weeks between treatments), and not at all stressful to my plants. whatever ya decide to go with, i hope you are successfull at getting that mildew under control. i don't think there's a garden around my area that doesn't have pm. what a pain...... good luck and peace- arnold layne

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | @ Arnold: Thanks for all the help. I would have probably gone with your formula from the start but my newbie nerves are always getting the best of me and I wanted a quick fix. We'll see how this goes.. whatever the case I'd rather not have to buy expensive sprays if I can make one myself. @ Bob: Didn't see that brand at the hydro store.. I'm assuming the Safer brand is solid then? Thanks again. All the girls have been misted down with PH'd water and the Soya'nara. Crossing my fingers..

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Update for this. I am not a happy camper. The PM keeps resurfacing on the two 50/50's a day or two after a spray.. and from what I hear soy oil works just as well if not better than other oils, and thus there's really no substitution aside from a sulfur burn which I can not do. I was thinking about upping the doseage from 10 ml to 20ml / gal but I'm worried about clogging up the stomata. In fact, if I keep it up at this rate spraying once every few days I might already be creating damage for the plants. The hydro people didn't really have any advice for me.. part of the problem might be that the plants are packed in so tight already. I'm going to do some trimming of the under areas to help air flow get in between the lower branches, but other than that there's not much I can do. Humidity isn't high enough to merit a dehumidifier, so I guess I just have to deal with it and hope that the oil doesn't end up being detrimental to the babies. I may be able to move the plants to a larger space soon though, which will help keep the air moving better among other benefits. If this doesn't improve I'll probably try out Arnuld's formula he posted here and pick up a better sprayer (currently using a spray bottle). Grr.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | this is what i use, it hasnt completely gone away, but it has kept it under much greater control then anything else ive tried. i spray the shit out of the mother plants, and just spot spray the flowering ones, and nothing over 3-4wks into flower. ![]() Garden Safe :: Fungicide 3

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bob: how often do you spray? Have you seen any bad effects from the plants having oil on them constantly? Also, it's bad enough that I can't spot spray, and I'm already almost 2 weeks into flowering. What am I going to do if it's still bad come 1 month flowering and on? From what I've seen thus far it doesn't look like it'll ever go away completely.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ive been spraying every couple of weeks or so, and ive been battling the pm with it since december (ive had the pm for longer then that, im just talking abt the treatment with the current spray). it hasnt completely gone away. but there is less and less of it each time. i havent seen any ill effects from the spray on the plants, just followed the instructions on the bottle, i got the concentrate version. the only way to completely get rid of it 100 percent, is to remove all plants, and if you really need to save genetics, take one or two cuttings and nurse and spray the shit out of them and start every thing over. i just cant do this, because it would take too long for me to get back to where i am now. so i spray. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I fight powdery mildew during the last few weeks of flowering as a result of my growing conditions. Which means Arnold's solution isn't for me. Last year I used Neem oil later in the season than ever before. It helped me alot. The minute I take care of the conditions that are conducive to mold/Botrytis I have the ideal conditions for PM. ![]() I wonder if bacillus subtillis Serenade is good for PM... I'll look it up. [edit]Indeed. I have a ton of this in my stash. I forgot about it until now. ![]() Peace- OD

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I'll continue to spray as well.. and hopefully when they get relocated the greater breathing room will help as well. Thanks.
