I have never actually looked at what the break-down of kelp is...if I find it I'll post it here...or if someone else knows..please post. My question is..would misting with kelp late in flowering delay senescence?

I can't help you with that question, as I've never done it any other way.
I go round my entire property with a foliar kelp about once a month, and I do not avoid the "weed patch". My plants have always grown, flowered, and died right on schedule. I do this because of my extremely hot climate- kelp has always helped my gardens survive the heat stress of late summer in the subtropics, and my MJ plants are no different.
The components of kelp are just too numerous to mention- one manufacturer touts that it contains every mineral and amino acid necessary to life
I know it contains large quantities of natural growth hormones like auxins, gibberellin and cytokinin.

Thx 3dognight
I found a partial list..

Vitamins:

Vitamins A, D, E, K, Biotin, B-12, Ascorbic Acid, Choline, Folic Acid, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Mannitol, & Alginate

Minerals:

Calcium, Phosporous, Mg, Silfur, Potassium, Iron, Boron, Cobalt, Coper, Flourie, Manganese, Molybdeum, Selenium, & Zic.

Amino Acids:

10 of them I nevereve heard of...all the ..ines

Hormones:

Auxins, Gibberellins, and cytokinins if harvested at peak cyto levels.

A little side note is that the carbohydrate Mannitol chelates certain minerals that make it readily available...
So....does/could the cyto in kelp delay senescene?
3hounds says she has no problem. I'm wondering if it should be used ...lets say three weeks before harvest?

You may see a little extra leaf growth but at that stage of flowering the hormonal levels are pretty much set and in full swing, the effort and mount of cytokinnins under the 12hr light period for the plant is outweighed by any extranous hormone additions ie., its easier for the plant to continue flowering than for the hormonal switch (cyto's) to be flooded beyond threshold levels by the addition of the kelp. I have found it gives them a nice kick around week 2 or 3 actually, the extra vegetation really helps the stem girth and general strength though.
