Smokin..you can use it for the entire grow....but I think it is most beneficial in the early seedling stage and veg stage. The kelp extract has a lot of growth hormones.

I don't like foliar feeding, either. The stuff mixes up well into a tea to water with.

Smokin,

I have the same stuff (different packaging I bet) and CajunYank and right. You can use it all through the grow. The label on mine also says it helps re-condition soil and adds micronutrients! Hope that helps. Oh, the bottle I have is Age Old Organics Kelp. It's a concentrated liquid but no smell at all I have their Grow formula too. I'll probably get their Flower formula because I have some Triple Phosphate but I don't want to add it to the soil. I prefer to add ferts with the water since getting the soil ph right has taken me quite a while.

I'm on my 3rd group of seedlings because the first 2 groups died prematurely due to high ph and overwatering.

Damn, I just want some weed

Excuse the ramblin,
BB

Is some great stuff. What's the GA? Regardless, it's good to use up until the 5th week of flowering (throughout preflower, too). It does contains over 60 trace elements and micros, hormones (B12), and elevated levels of K. It's a great alternative (organic) supplement for raw salt micros.

Good ****.

Scuse the seemingly basic questions

They couldnt put less or more useless info on this bottle if they tried.

Its Bionide Kelp Extract, no breakdown of contents given save the name. "A natural organic product derived from north Atlantic seaweed for use on.....blah blah blah" (everything, if you read the list)

OK heres the first oddity. Down on the list it says apply 1-2 teaspoons directly to the soil and then water over it. Sound right? I pour 2.5 gallons through my 7 gallon planter each watering (drains less than 1/2 gallon). Do I use two Ts? Is it plant age dependant? I have 12 two week old seedlings, 5 clones just rooted, 1 plant about to be harvested and three more with 3-5 weeks of flower left.

Any suggestions on how to apply to each? My seedlings will be transplanted tonight to their 1 gallon veg containers.

Please excuse my ignorance. Its in direct relation to the lack of information on the bottle

I actually dilute mine...like with any other fert or additive. Then increase gradually, til...I think you can get up to full strength with this stuff. I have only made it up to half-strength.

The lack of info is most irritating, huh!!??!!

no GA. I found it in the wifes stuff when we moved. Its unopened but as much as a couple years old.

Will the age make it still usable?

Thanks everyone

Old Kelp ...

... can't be as good as new kelp. Is the container light proof?

The NPK of mine is .1-.1-1 and says to mix 1/4OZ per gallon for foliar and 1/2OZ per gallon for systemic/root feeding.

Check out this ... pretty interesting, too.

Ever try SuperThrive? It has over 50 vitamins and hormones. GREAT stuff!
