Organic Fertilizer Mixes 2 - 3.5 - 2.5 1 part bone meal 3 parts alfalfa hay 2 parts greensand thats the mix i plan on makin, now the question is pretty stupid, but do i use these ingrediants for the whole soil mass, or do i mix it in with the natuaral soil? is u mix, whats the ratio of fertlizer per dirt. thx guys. keep on smokin, and someday it will be legal P.S. if any you guys know the average price of greensand or alfalfa hay, and perlite, pls let me know.

| Those nutrients are mixed into the soil. The normal amount is one tablespoon per gallon. I get perlite locally for about $3 for 8 quarts and greensand online for $6-7 for a 10 lb. bag. I have never used alfalfa hay on plants, but I assume you would just grind up some hay? | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() | Yea, or you could get alfalfa meal which is easier to use. Alfalfa is good stuff, one of the most complete of the vegetal fertilizers, (relatively) lots of N and proteins and other stuff. Oz started a thread recently alluding to possible other benefits as well. I would also mix that soil ASAP to get the greensand breaking down and releasing its nutrients, and don't rely just on it for K. O | ||
