![]() ![]() ![]() | Earthworm castings provide lots of minerals and improve soil tilth (texture), but with an NPK of .74-.37-3 your plants need more. It is certainly part of a well rounded organic potting mix, though. Edit: CRIPES!! I forgot the goldarned decimal point. .74-.37-.3. I apologize for any time you spent pondering my eror!!

![]() | > NPK of .74-.37-3 Wow, really? Worm castings really seem to vary in their nutrient content. The ones I am using are 1.0-0.1-0.1; in addition to using them as part of the primary soil mix, I have been watering them in from the top for a nitrogen boost. It seems to green things up nicely, and it's not stinky like fish emulsion. You need a lot though, with only 1% N. I guess the worms basically add value to whatever they start with, and the final NPK and micronutrient profile depends on what the worms start with in the first place. -ciratac-

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yeah I remember looking at that when he posted it and thinking that isnt what my bag says on it! But then after a lil more research on the web I saw that it is like everything else, they have a range that they usually fall into which was the .3 to .1 range. But either way they are a great addition to a mix or even as a tea ![]()
