Ahh, I see...

Well, here's an idea. There's a shatload of road kill out in the country where I live. What if I set up a "compost" in my backyard, and just started creating a nice little rot of fertilizer? Like, throw dead animals and food scraps and leafs and stuff in there. After a year or so, after it decomposes... that'd be some potent stuff! Smelly, but...

We generally do not advocate using protein sources (or manure from protein eating species) in our compost. The percentage of disease pathogens is just too high. That's why fish emulsion is processed.
Now it is excellent to compost with all the green and brown vegetation plus veggie-fed manure you can find.... can't beat it as a soil ammendment!!
But NO roadkill- please!

Roadkill fertilizer, heh....crazy. Fish emulsion does great for me...and for 5 bucks its better than scrapin dead animals off the road.
