secondary nutrients?

--i have found good sources for the macro-nutrients(N-P-K) in my medium but one question still bothers me. when considering the amendments for an organic growing medium, what can be added to provide the seconday nutrients (calcium (Ca), sulfur(S),and magnesium(Mg))in the event of a defincey? also how can micro-nutrients(iron(Fe), zinc(Zn), maganese(Mn) and chlorine(Cl)) be provided. are these substance just present in very small amounts in most soils,or do they have to be added?--

Micros, like the macros, come from many different sources. Whatever you're using to supply N, P and K probably also contains some other nutrients. Fish emulsion has chlorine and sulfur. Bone meal has calcium. Sul-po-mag has magnesium. Compost, worm castings and kelp have lots of micronutrients, and soil has some. These are just a few examples.

Sul-po-mag also has sulfur otherwise, it'd just be po-mag.

One of the benefits of growing organically is - as Brindie pointed out - many of the fert sources have a wide range of nutrients, as opposed to the chemical fertilizers that are manufactured to only have in them what they have in them.
