Hey guys/gals, my plant's secondary growth is coming in nicely so I figure it's time for me to start stressing over what I'm going to do for flowering. This grow I opted to feed it through watering exclusively and added nothing to the soil, during veg I just used fish emulsion and it seemed to like it okay. For flowering I plan on using guano tea, what I'm looking at right now is a bag of southeast asian seabird guano at 8.91-26.97-0.17. To me it seems that would suffice as my nitrogen and phospherous source and then for K I was considering Soluble Seaweed Extract at 1-1-16 although I don't know much about it. Would this work? I'm thinking of going with 2tbsp/gallon guano with a half dose of the extract. Any advise would be appreciated, I'm near a lot of hydro stores so if theres any better soluble K source I can probably get my hands on it. | ||

![]() | I see, and can you see a problem in adding them both to the water and then watering the plants? Thanks. edit: The high K makes me slightly ansy, so can you just look over the product description and let me know if this is the right stuff? It's listed under organics on my local hydroponics store website.: Soluble Seaweed Extract is a concentrated, comprehensive gardener’s tool in powder form. The concentrate is made from 100% pure, organic Norwegian kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum) harvested on the Atlantic coast of Canada. This highest-quality kelp is a rich natural source of over 60 chelated nutrients, vitamins, amino acids and hormones that stimulate plant growth, and has been celebrated for its natural fertilizing properties for centuries. Enhanced seed germination, promotion of a healthy root system, and rapid stem and shoot development are among the recognized benefits of using this kelp extract. Versatile Soluble Seaweed Extract can be sifted with soils to create custom blends for planters, or added to the hydroponic reservoir. Soluble Seaweed Extract can also be stirred with water to create a liquid for use as a foliar spray. Concentrated kelp is an exceptional value for all growers: in powder form, Soluble Seaweed Extract can be stored indefinitely. Whether used in soil, hydroponic systems or as a foliar spray, regular application of Soluble Seaweed Extract will enable the grower to reap the benefits of the power powder from the sea.
