![]() | Thanks for re sharing this info, surely does help open peoples (and my own) eyes to what some people are trying to to hood wink other with. Now here is a question, with using molasses the sugar content is beneficial along side the various other trace nutrients and minerals that come in molasses, but lets say you removed all the sugars from the molasses, i would assume that still all those trace minerals and nutrients would still be beneficial when used to help feed plants? i would definitely thinks so but was just wondering. to avoid confusion on where this is heading, a thought dawned upon me when reading this, lets say a person partook in the production, distillation, and personal consumption of say homemade rum, where the primary ingredient is molasses. In the creation of rum or any alcohol for that matter all the sugars are converted to alcohol through the active munching of a beneficial yeast during fermentation, side note that i know has been discussed but you can use the co2 production cause by the yeast converting sugar to alcohol to help feed your plants as well. But say you distilled that (low wine) alcohol, into a higher proof form, afterward you are left with whats called dunder (the liquid left in your still that doesn't contain any alcohol, as it has all been stripped off), now your dunder which is either sometime partially reused and or just dumped down a drain would still contain all those beneficial nutrients and trace minerals which would most likely be of use to your plants. So you could probably reuse a supposed rum dunder and just supplement with a bit more molasses as a fertilizer but in effect provide a higher trace mineral and nutrient source ? Worth the effort when its at hand ? who knows but something to think about, i just find it interesting that you might be able to use two waste byproducts of another process to a beneficial use of growing plants. Sorry for the babbling first post | ||
