Check your local garden shop for some sort of animal deterrant spray. They do exist, although I have only seen them designed for cats and dogs over here, as we don't have pesty animals like deer in Australia. Just possums that eat the tomatoes in the vege garden. They've never tried my marijuana plants yet, but if they do I want to be there to see it!!!

I either use piss whenever I go to my plants, or human hair, but dog/cat hair works too I've read. Also i'm not sure if this works but I use cigarette butts. I toss them in the general area around my plants. This seems to be working very nicely considering i've seen deer and rabbits in the area near my plants, they don't even come close to my patch tho. =)

yo put moth balls around em that will keep deer and rabbits away from em and you can use a hot pepper spray to keep insects away

Two words for you "chicken wire". Never grow in the woods with out it, or you may end up
very disapointed, rats and deer love herbage.
I've even seen people make cages out of it and just grow in them.

Hello Sonic,
Here's my opinion on your situation. There is an animal repellent called Critter ridder which deters most animals from going near the plants, moth balls also do wonders to stop cats, squirrels, rabbets, ect ect.
good luck

i never thought of animals stealing my crop when i first started growing, but my original grow spot taught me lots of things and luckily it was on the side of a hill or bluff like thing right next to a secluded creek... that type of spot is my fav now... i've got other plants but my best are on the top of small hills near watersources where the animals cant get to them and you never have to check on them unless you have to. this method hasn't failed me yet!!

Activated or digested sewage is sometimes sold as a slow release turf grass fertilizer (6-2-0) anyway it has somewhat of a mal-odor and it repels both rabbit and deer.

Some people frown upon the use of digested sewage as a fertilizer because of concerns with heavy metals. Even if you don't want to apply it directly to the plants root zone, you can still spread it around the genaral area as an effective critter deterent.
