![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if you don't want to go there, it might be a good place. no one else will wanna go there either. just be careful, learn all you can about snakes, know which ones are which. i once grew near a bobcat den by mistake, but it wasn't a problem. they didn't bother me or my plants. it seems they got used to me coming around. they'd just watch me, but it was scary. i felt pretty secure about my plants though. no one would bother them with them cats around. snakes may be a little different, however. not as peaceful. i no longer grow at my cat spot just out of respect, but it was a neat experience. | ||

| the number one killer of mass pot plants... SMELL!!! i like to keep at a minimum 100 feet away from where people Could be. if they are back there in the dark drinking and go, hey johnny i can smell that dank in your pocket from here. it wont be long before they realize that its not them. the first days light your stuff is Gone. find somewhere thats a real pain in the ass to get to. the more work they have to do to get there the better your chances of being sucessful. too bad u guys dont have swampliving multifloral rose in texas (there are reasons its illegal to plant here), its basically organic razorwire. i have sites that i had to burn out and cut back regularly with one passage... which u have to crawl through. you can do this by using your weapon of destruction and keep cutting into the multifloral until you make a 'cove'. in a few weeks, the entrance will be growing back over and u just have to keep cutting the inside back. my weapons of choice are a weedwacker fitted with a saw blade and a homemade propane 'flamer'. it also keeps deer out but rodents arnt a problem here so it probably wouldnt help for that. ![]() | okay guys, ive been reading up on snakes and talked to a guy at a nature center somewhere close. i should be fairly well off if i wear my nice browning hunting boots and watch where i step. apparently, the water moccasins and the copperheads are the only things he said i need to really worry about but the cottonmouths apparently are the only aggresive snake that will actually attack and pursue humans!... ****e. ive gone to look for my high powered bb pistol just for added security. on a lighter note, over the entire holiday, i was able to find one other location with decent lighting but the soil isnt all that great so its gonna take more work. im still really not worried about the first location and since im using bagseed and that location wont need any supplemental soil, it wont be as big a deal if my crop fails. thanks for the feedback guys and may everyone have good fortune in 03.
