![]() | OK, got a whole farm to grow in, it was my grandmas, but she gave it to me, and now I want to harvest both corn and buds. I already have 10 sprouts in rockwool ready to transplant, into the middle of my 100' by 200' plot of corn, but not sure on spacing. How much room does each plant need, I do plan on tieing them down so they grow sideways, so will I have to clear out the bottom (towards the ground) sides of the plant? Also, I am in the desert soutwest, and just planted the corn seed, so I will wait till the corn is about 6" tall until I transplant my little buddies. I am just assuming that since all farm vegitables grow well here that buds will grow good too. Also, if I was to build a filon shed, how much ground space will each plant need? Thanks alot, E PS I have staked out my farm since I was 6 and only ever seen 3 other people go there, since it takes about 45 minutes in a 4x4 to get there, and there is a well, so will just well water be enough, or will I need to add nutes?

Whats up?You got a whole farm??Man,if I were you,I would space my weed out 10-20 feet per plant, and smack down about 30 short height sativas and indicas.I know a few people that do this. And you got to dig a hole and fill it with it's own soil for each plant, due to the corn field soil has most of its nutes already used by the corn, and the soil will probably not be proper.Anyway, summer is on the horizon, and grow season too...Good luck

![]() | I have lived here for 12 years with my dear old granny and never even seen a helicopter or plane fly by. It is in a mountain valley on the reservation, and I have only see 2 people here before, and trust me, I look for tracks every time I go up there. I did plan on spacing them out and planting in corn, right by the peach trees, I always fertilize the soil before i plant anything, and usually the corn is very lush green, unless i cant water it for more than 24hours (happend once last year). I have also set up a grow "box" so I may get a really nice female plant, and clone her a few times before next year. Hopefully I can keep new plants going for that long, as usually I just grow through the summer, not all year long.

Good for you man, having a farm and using it for what you like. 10 platns is plenty, as you can get a ton of herb off each one and you won't have to worry about having a couple hundred Lbs. lying around your property. ![]() One thing to think about is how you grow your corn. Are you going to be using chemical ferts or are you organic farming? What about pest control, and herbicides? Herbicides will kill MJ pretty quick, so I would say that you may want to keep them together so that you can protect them from dangers. ![]() Corn uses a ton of water too, and has been shown to transpire up to 200 times it's own volume in water per day. You may want to make sure that the MJ plants have a steady source and aren't being robbed by the corn. Also, you mentioned growing them sideways by tying them down, just make sure that they get plenty of light. ![]() Mostly I would worry about your farming practices for the corn and how that will affect the MJ. Otherwise it sounds like you have a pretty sweet set-up, and will be harvesting a bounty. ![]()
