I have found some Bone Meal and some Miracle Gro in my garden shed but I want to know what to use on my plants, I have just got a couple sprouted so could you help me out. What should I use for starting it out and what should I use later when it get started growin?

The Miracle Gro is 15-30-15 I think also for the Bone Meal and The Miracle gro, what should the mixture be to add in something like 4 water to every 1 bone meal?

Thanks for the information. Also any other good ferts or nutes I should consider Buyin?

Thanks PEACE ya'll

whats up jul im assuming that u are growing in soil! that bone mill u got is great for flowering, just remember it has to break down in the soil befor it can be used by the plant. i dont know how long it takes to break down but mybe some1 will tell u later.
the mg doesnt have all the right micro-nutes u need so if i was u i would get some peters 20/20/20 they have other /// but that is what i started with, i even started some hydro with it still doeing good just started adding some raw-salts .
i wount use the 2 together the bone mill has alot of p in it that the plant doent need untill flowering.
but if u do use the mg i dont think it would kill it if it made it to flowering stage it should make for a mean bud

(pardon me Josehempseed, but I cannot get the damn accent mark to go above the "e" in your name, so if you'll excuse the confusion when people want to pronounce it "JOES-hempseed" instead of "HO-ZAY-hempseed"...

Do you add the 15-30-15 to mj while its still in veg? Do you flush it then add it before flower with bone meal? I have some tomato food that I'm waiting to use until flower; I'm curious how people are using the Miracle grow since It's so widely available.

By the way, I'll pm you the results of that lighting experiment; its still weeks off...

hey omm,

there's a little microsoft software, virtual keyboard, that gives you all the foreign characters, otherwise you need to find all those in the character map. but no worries, you can call me ray, you can call me jay, sust don't call me late for the bong hits...

for the miracle grow, i like to use it throught the whole life of the plants, except when they're seedlings. i foliar feed them every 3 or 4 weeks, that stuff really works, i swear by it.

for the 'main' fert, though, i use a commercial 15-15-15 that's mixed in the transplanting soil. so the little boogers get that 3 times in thier life. that's all, it's simple, but it seems to work well. i like to keep things as simple as i can, less screw-ups along the way.

If the tomato food is the Miracle Gro 18-18-21 with micronutrients,
you should use that for veg. growth over the 15-30-15. I assume
the 15-30-15 is the "All-Purpose" mix. No magnesium in that one.

I just looked in the Grow Guide. In the Organics section, it lists bone meal
as 1-11-0. You can't use this alone. You could use it in flowering
in addition to the 15-30-15 for a phosphorous boost.

Be really careful with Miracle Gro; it's highly concentrated, making
it easy to burn your plants. Start out at like 1/8 the recommended
dosage, then slowly increase.

i've been using the miracle grow for a while, on several species, never had any problem at all.
i use the recommended dosage, 1 tsp per gallon, all the time for the foliar feeding, never diluted, beginning just after the first transplant (around the second set of real leaves).
and i really soak them. top and bottoms of all the leaves. drenched. of course, don't foliar feed in the direct sun.
i swear by that stuff.

Sorry Bro no way! well put it this way I could just as big and as good as bud without ever usign the stuff

There are plenty of ppl here who don't use that and get awesome buds. Personally, if you can get other plant supplies then I'd go that route instead. EarthWorm castings and Lime both contain Mg... enough in the proper amounts that you will not need epsom salts... I admit when I first started growing I used it but I only use it now to soak a sprained ankle. check out the grow guides organic section for all kinds of natural mixes.

when using organics, it is kinda like making a soup to get the complete effect ... Blood meal, Bat Guano (High P), Lime and EWC would be a complete basic mix that could likely go unsupplemented for almost the entire grow

All bone meal is not 1-11-0. I grow organic and the bone meal I get at WalMart is 6-12-0. Maybe it depends on what kind of bones it comes from, how much marrow is in the mix, etc. You still can't use it alone because no potassium or micronutes but I just wanted to comment on that.

I also agree with lilbuddie about no way is Miracle Grow necessary for a big yield. There are plenty of ways to provide plants with nutrients and not many of the most impressive buds in the Visual Inspirations and Grow Journal forums were grown with MG. MG can cause lots of problems too with salt buildup.
