its way too easy to burn plants with M.Grow... and i agree thats probably where it gets most of its bad rap from. i have noticd there are different types of M.Grow..like MG patio...etc...cant remember the others... but whats the diff between them? NPK ratios or what?

NPK and micro nutrient strengths differ from one to the next. I still can't believe some people don't like it. Just don't over fert your damn plants!

I can take the responsibility
The plants (legal) I had die was most likely due to over fert over water etc.... It might have been the miracle grow but without a control accurate study on mj one really cant just throw out spurtings as I did......
who knows ??????????

I use Miracle grow "Ericaceous" plant food for veg growth which has an NPK of 30-10-10. Ive had no problems so far. I also use Maxi crop seaweed extract alternating between the 2 weekly. For the flowering stage i use Cactus & Succulent fertilizer Which has an NPK of 8-34-32.

Simply use too much your plants are going to burn, its quite powerfull stuff, depending on how much soil your using. I dont exactly know the right amount but I do know that it will ruin your plant if you use to much in little soil. Experiment figgure out what works best but use a guide off one of the fourms so that you dont go over board... you cant hurt it by not putting enough in but you can by putting too much in so start small and work up.

MG

My fourth grow is going now using MG - I have learned that in 4 gal pots you HAVE to cut this stuff 50% with perlite to avoid burning your leaves and losing your fan leaves during flowering. I will use organic nutes during flowering this time - worm castings scratched into the first 4 inches of soil and bat guano tea cut to quarter strength at first. The recipe I read here was 3 Tbsp per gal of water - is that correct?

all 13 are about 2 ft tall

Peace everyone

i used miracle grow on my first grow with little success.im about halfway through my second grow which i tried going organic with and im a very happy with the results so far.also very little problems with PH on this grow which i contribute to the organic mixture.i also think using chemicals in your dirt will eventually leave your dirt useless to a certain extent.i may be wrong but that just seems like common sense to me.im putting the MG to rest.

GOING ORGANIC ROCKS!

good observation POB, the chemicals tend to slow down and eventually kill off the soil life. Without this living component, soil is just dirt (mostly minerals) and not very good at giving up its stored nutrients to the plants.
