I am vegging right now in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil in 1 gallon grow bags and plan on not adding any fertilizer untill I replant into a 3(or 5?) gallon grow bag for the flowering stage in 4 weeks (or should I mix it in now?). When I replant for the flowering stage I want to mix in American Pride NPK 9-6-6 or Marine Cuisine NPK 10-7-7 with the Ocean Forest and just have that untill harvest. Which one would be better to use for flowering? To help you in this decision the ingredients below are found in BOTH American Pride and Marine Cuisine fertilizer: Cottonseed Meal, Blood Meal, Earthworm Castings, Bat Guano, Ammonium Sulphate, Calcium Nitrate, Ammonium Phosphate, Treble Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Sulphate, Potassium Chloride, Ferrous Sulphate, Zinc Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Manganese Oxysulphate, Calcium Carbonate Ingredients below found ONLY in American Pride NPK 9-6-6: Alfalfa Meal, Ureaform, Urea, Potassium Nitrate, Zinc Sulphate, Copper Sulphate, Manganese Oxysulphate, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Carbonate Ingredients below found ONLY in Marine Cuisine NPK 10-7-7: Fish Meal, Shrimp Meal, Crab Meal, Seabird Guano Kelp Meal, Urea, Iron Sucrate, Manganese Sucrate Fox Farm Marine Cuisine Time Release Dry Mix Fertilizer 10-7-7 Manufacturer Description: Marine Cuisine® is a powerful all-purpose fertilizer that blends fine ocean-based ingredients like crab meal, shrimp meal, seabird guano, and kelp, with low-sodium mineral plant foods to give your garden a quick boost and provide long-lasting, time-release nutrition. This fertilizer is a power bar for your plants! Use it wherever you want lush flowers and delicious fruit, and try it on your most demanding trees and shrubs. Marine Cuisine® is truly seafood for your garden. Fox Farm American Pride Time Release Fertilizer 9-6-6 Manufacturer Description: The ultimate all-purpose fertilizer. American Pride® offers a mixture of fast-acting nutrients and minerals to get your garden jumping, and slow-release natural food for the soil, such as earthworm castings, bat guano and cottonseed meal. Rose gardeners swear by it! It’s the perfect food for ornamental trees and shrubs, container gardens, and flowers and vegetables. American Pride® revitalizes depleted soils, increases bud set and flower size, and enhances flowering and fragrance. So what is your opinion on which one is the best to mix in with the Ocean Forest in flowering? And should I just be using Ocean Forest for veg or should I mix in some other kind of dry fertilizer now? I am growing Sour Diesel, Sour OG and Master Kush. I look forward to hearing your opinions! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've been lookin at both as well. It seems like the American Pride is just a little lighter on the NPK and then it comes down to preference. I wonder if the fishy stuff is smelly.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Time release or the time it takes the organic matter to breakdown and become available? I thought time releasers had at least some synthetics in em? Might want to stay away from time release, especially during budding when mj has those big growth spurts and starts packing on the weight. I was checking out some FF's stuff and I liked the liquid organtic grow and bud formulas they have. Why not use that in conjunction with some of there other soil? If I can find some ff soil and ferts here I'd like to try it out on one plant I'll be potting and finishing outside. Perhaps some of the ocean forest or the original potting mix. I think plants would be happy in either while budding. P.S I agree with jonny's comment.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm only considering it for mother plants at the moment, the high N is great and the slow release is what I'm looking for when it comes to easy maintenance. My real veg and flower is all hydro. I agree this is probably not the best for flowering plants. =)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I read on the IC site that someone contacted FF and they said time release for the marine stuff. Most who have tried it said that it was great stuff, but if you recycle soil then the time release will start to mess with ratios.
