i was wondering. in nature, new fertilizer gets brought to the plants by rain and fortunate passerby.

i thought, why not use fertilzer in every watering, just a tiny amount and instead never fertilize the plants?

that way minute amounts of ferts are always being given to the plant and salts and such more easily washed away each watering, being in much smaller amounts and more spread?

think i might try it. anyone ever try or have some thoughts about this?

but don't you want robust yield and would want to give/receive more than what nature would provide?

That is a common practice in container grown horticulture.

There really is no right way to grow, you have to resonate with a style and learn what you can,
tweak it to your own style and raise the bar each grow... OD '07
