first off my plants are planted in MG potting soil w/ moister control. from what i have read mg soil releases the nutes too slow for my plants and they seem to be showing signs of this (lowest leaves yellowing, slowly moving up) so i bought some Espoma organic plant food. it is 5-3-3. my question is will adding this help my problem and how often do i use organic feed? it says once a month on the bag. thanks in advance | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | are they yellow? if so nitrogen. you would think soil is soil, but drainage, sponginess, ph, and ingrediants play a big role when it comes to plants. and miricle grow is a chemical company, not really a nutrient company. even though i may have used their products a few times, i prefer not to. look for promix bales. or peat, perilite, etc to create your own mix, then add nutes your plants need during that stage. for 25 bucks you can get a 3.8 cu.f bale of promix. i like it because its ready to go, cheap, and nute free. im not saying soil with nutes are bad, its just usually you cant find it that easily with what you and your plant are looking for. fox farm, sunshine mix, and pro mix are my top favorites. fox farm is most expensive, but comes with lots of goodies in the soil. your miricle grow will work. add some lime to raise ph. about a table spoon every 2-3 gallons. all the sticks in that stuff are the main reason it sucks, and of course because it contains their plant foods.
