I saw pictures of your plant in your Nursery thread & agree that you should start at half strength & work up. The full strength Lucas formula is 0ml Grow - 8 ml Micro - 16 ml Bloom per gallon.

So go about 3/4 teaspoon Grow & 1 1/2 teaspoons Bloom; that is very close to half strength.

psychoticore - I'm a real stoner (but I have an excuse for the confusion between hydro & soil) - but the General Hydroponics nutes are for hydro, not soil.

I asked about that previously,

soooo are you sayin they can't be used at all for soil? or that I should do dosing differently?
I already bought them last night

I've never used them in soil. If others say it is ok, I'd have to agree, because I don't know.

BC, I have been using the FNBloom (1 part'r) for about a year now and recently added Flora Bloom as an additive to the FNBloom for mid flower, it works great. I have been using them in everything from 5 gallon hempys to solo party cups with soil. The party cup plants have been growing for the past 4 months in 16oz cups without root stress. I have had to flush them once or twice in the past 4 months. Only thing I didn't say is that the medium should not be reused since they are chemical nutes.

It'll be interesting to see how hydro nutes work in soil.

Hempy is hydro, not soil. And only small cups of soil... like I say I'll be interested.

Right, hempy is hydro. But I was also using MG potting soil in up to 8" round pots which I guess are about a gallon in volume. The 5 gallon hempy to small cups of soil was my range of uses. To be more specific, I use it Hempy's from 5 gallons to solo party cups and from 8" pots of soil to solo party cups of soil.

These are chemical nutes so everything is available right away, that and the pH were the only things I could come up with which make it different from soil-based nutes Although, Tigerbloom which is made for soil would consistantly drop my pH into the 4's. Tigerbloom was the reason I switched. After getting a pH meter and fighting Tigerblooms pH, I got the FNB and haven't looked back. I concluded from reading that a lot of the bags of soil are actually soil-less and a good pH range was still around 6, slightly lower. After mixing up the FNBloom and letting it sit, the pH was in the high 5's so I tried it on my soil girls and it worked very well. The Flora bloom addition was recent.

so should my dosing remain the same as originally said or should it be knocked down a few knotches?

Just remember you want to start the ratio at 1 to 2, micro to bloom, and yes start at a lower amount if they are young. After you feel confident you can adjust it up or down. There is a very informative website called CannaStats that goes into some detail about nutrient ratios. Some of the total EC (TDS) values are really high and your plants might not be able to take that strong of a solution. Think of it as more of a reference number, because you can always add water to dilute the mixture, all at the same time feeling good that the nutrient ratios are in line with each other, albeit in lower amounts. They also have an excel program called premix which I believe has the grow, micro, and bloom nutrients already put into the required feilds (I screwed with mine and don't remember). It took me a while to "get it" in regards to the program and putting more nutrients in the database, but once I got it, I stopped looking at the names like "grow" or "bloom" as being specific to a certain stage of growth and started to look at the ingredients (in my simple mind the "grow" or "bloom" is just "their" premixed nute, I might not like "their" ratio so I change it accordingly ).
