![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Tigerbloom is very acidic and does not have the right balance of cal-mag in it. Since you only have $20 to spend, I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that you don't have a ph meter. For bloom nutes you generally want to go with something that is low in N and high in P and K. Preferably, the K should be at least a bit higher than P and both should be much higher than N. A general guideline for bloom nutrient ratios is 1-2-3 (N-P-K) and multiples of it. I also like to try and make sure that I have a rough K to cal to mag ratio of 4-2-1. The GH flora and floranova lines are stable pH-wise so you won't have to get a pH meter unless you screw up.

I have a water PH tester and a cheap soil tester that I'm not so sure works right. are you referring to this? http://www.hydroasis.com/hy/productdetail.aspx?id=267&product=general-hydro-flora-bloom-1-pint/gbase/?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=Hydro%20Flora%20Bloom%20General%20Hydro%20Flora%20Blo om%201%20pint&utm_campaign=gbase_title-variations I read bunch about hydro on it... does it matter if I'm growin in soil and use it? I've only got one plant in flower right now, and 3 that wont be ready for a few months. would the pint hold me over for now?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The link doesn't work, but I am referring to the General Hydroponics Flora series. They have a grow, bloom, and micro. You can do a whole grow start to finish with just the micro and bloom (search "lucas formula"). General Hydro also makes the FloraNova series which is FloraNova Bloom and Grow. You can pretty much do a whole run on just the FNBloom as that mimicks the Lucas formula (and it's all in one bottle, just mix with water and viola!). I use the FNBloom as my base nute (weak mixture) and then add different additives to it, but I would just try it by itself first. Works very well. Yes you can use these nutes in soil, but keep in mind that they are salt/chemical based nutes, so you should flush the containers once a month or so to get the salt buildup out of there. Either the flora or the floranova series are pH stable between, off the top of my head, 5.5 and 6.0. Edit: If you are just growing a bit at a time, I would go with small bottles of nutes so if they don't work with your style you're not out a lot of cash. Hell I bought so many liter/quart sized nutes that I didn't like, some I could give away, some I had to throw away, but since they didn't work with how I used them it was all a waste of money.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mix 1 part Micro to 2 parts Bloom. I burned some hempy plants at 8-16, so I plan to begin at 5-10 and see how it goes from there. (Those measurements are ml per gallon.)

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | GH Flora users often give their nute recipes as milliliters per gallon of Flora Grow, Flora Micro, and Flora Bloom. So when bluecheese says 0-5-10, I know she is talking about not using any of the Grow formula, using 5 mL per gallon of Micro, and 10 mL per gallon of bloom. This is a lot different than N-P-K ratios. There are mixing instructions and recommended application rates on the bottles, additionally there is a lot of info on the General Hydroponics website (www.GenHydro.com). The most important thing to remember is to never mix the concentrated components together, always add one at a time to water , starting with micro, and mix well before adding the next one. ![]() penguin

oh ok, That makes sense. I need to find a right device for measuring, but I searched and found that a teaspoon is 4 milliliters, when I was figuring out how much hydrogen peroxide to add to my water last night. soooo basically 1 1/4 teaspoon - Micro 2 1/2 teaspoon - Bloom sound about right? How does everyone mix their fertilizers with the water? I've just been sturring it around, is that a bad way to do it?
