Need advice : HydroFuel 2 Part Nutrients

Hey, I have two red bottles of a product called "Hydro Fuel"

It's stats are as follows :

Part A:

3.5 - 0 - 3.21

Nitrogen: 3.5%
Potassium: 3.21%
Calcium: 2.8%
Iron: 0.06%

Part B:

0 - 2 - 4.5

Phosphorous : 2%
Potassium: 4.5%
Sulfur: 2.25 %
Magnesium: 1.45%
Manganese: .03%
Boron: .007%
Zinc: .005%
Mo: .001%
Copper: .001%
Cobalt: .04%
Nickel: .04%

It instructs to mix this together @ 4 ML per Liter of EACH bottle.

Now, I would normally use this for a Hydroponic grow. But can this be used to feed my Soil Grow?

If YES, how much should I feed them at a time?

you can use hydro ferts for soil. how large are you plants? you might want to start out with a low dosage if they are small, see what they can handle and work your way up to full strength. i would probably use more of part a in veg and more of part b in flower and finish with mostly b rather than even split throughout.

Yes, you can use the formula for a soil grow. You don't need to look at the micronutrients, since you're going with soil and that's supplied already. The main numbers you wanna look at are

solution A: 3.5 - 0 - 3.21
solution B: 0 - 2 - 4.5

These are the NPK% for each bottle. How you would mix them depends on what phase of the grow you're in. During veg, you need more Nitrogen, so going 1:1 A:B might work. During the first 2 weeks of flower, you might go with 1:2 A:B, and afterwards probably 1:3 or 1:4 A:B. The strength they listed is for hydroponics, which is weak for soil. They recommend 4 mL per 1 L, or a 4:1000 ratio. You should probably go with something 4X as strong, so around 16mL per 1 L.

Now let's do an example. Let's say you're in late flower and you need 2 liters of solution. So you want a 1:4 A:B solution all diluted to 16:1000. For 2 Liters, you need 32 mL of solution at 1:4 ratio. So you would need ~6 mL of solution A and ~24mL of solution B, which you would put into 2 liters of water. Now use your gramscale (since you grow I'm assuming you have one) and keep in mind 1g is about 1mL.

Too complex for ya? Let's the take the same example and rough it. 1 tablespoon is about 15mL. So take 1 tbls of A, 4 tbls of B, and mix it with 5L of water. You get more solution than you need, but it's faster than easier.

Also remember to mix B into the water first, slowly, and then add A. Do not mix A and B together or you will be unhappy.

My advice: Just get some soil nutes.

You don't necessarily have to get that complicated. It's not a bad idea, it's just not required.

Lots of people use hydro nutes with soil. I'd just use it once every 3-4 waterings. Using just water the other times helps keep the fertilizer salts from building up. Just watch for nute burn.

Generally speaking hydro nutrients are slightly lacking in phosphorous... So I would recommend supplementing them with some kind of bloom booster thats high in P. Aside from that, hydro nutrients work just fine.

I 4 mL per liter sounds pretty strong though I'd start them at half that or even 1/4 strength, so 1-2 mL per L

Are you talking about the grow formulas or the bloom formulas? Or both? Just the 2 Part Nutrients or the 3 Parts as well?

Cause I'd think that the bloom formulas should have enough phosphorus in them, especially for soil where there's probably a little P running around already. I could be wrong but a good 2 part formula should have plenty of nutrients for a soil grow, right?

I mean I sure as heck am gonna keep feeding my girls bloom boosters cause the only thing better than huge buds is gigantic buds. There's a difference between enough nutes and optimum nutes.
