I have 3 plants in a hempy scrog. They are 8 days into 12/12 and looking nice. Have been feeding 3part GH 3ml/Gal each of GMB. This gets me about 400-425ppm. I have grown this particuliar strain twice now and have burnt them with the transition between veg nutes and flower nutes. Lots of rams horning and tacoing downward of the big fan leaves and some of the sweetleaf. I am planning to go to 1.5ml Grow 3.0ml Micro amd 4.5ml Bloom per gallon in flower, which gets me to about 440ppm. How do I make the transition happen with burning them?? Thanks for your help, Jim

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd try staying on the veg nute routinge until you are at least 7-10 days into flower..I mean don't change a thing. If I remember correctly the bottle says equal parts of all 3 nutes during transition so that might work well too. They won't be need that high bloom amount until a few weeks into flower. Since your doing hempy buckets you have the luxury of running a different formula on each plant. Perhaps you should feed one plant the same nutes, one equal parts, and one the formula you mentioned and see which one does you right. Then next time you'll have them dialed in. ![]() Oooopps, sorry I went back and re-read your thread and see that you did just what I told you to do already.. Some experts would say to drop the Gow all together at that point and use the Lucas Formula.. they say there is enogh N in the Micro to withstand the plant for the duration of flowering.

jim2248--Yeah for GH nutes, the vegging side of things the grow is higher, micro medium and the bloom 3,2,1 tsps per gallon on the bottles. The transition phase into flowering then you would normally even them out, which you're already at, so keep giving them what you are for a week or so like CT stated. Then it goes just the opposite for blooming and 1,2,3 tsps on the bottle. I'm not a hempy grower but use it that way in both my soil and hydro. You are under 1 tsp per gallon on all them right now, you really don't want to burn them. You sure should be able to go higher than that I'd think even with low eating strains I'm higher than that. I'd double that most likely to 6 ml per gallon of each, just over 1 tsp per gallon, which the bottle states 2 tsps per gallon for transition phase, 2,2,2 tsps per gallon and start giving them half nutes at least. Just my . It doesn't seem like a hempy would require less nutes than soil or hydro growing to me, but maybe Ripcord will be by for his input.Happy Growing Alleycat

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | what Alley said. I go 2-2-2 (teaspoons) 2 1/2 weeks after 12/12, but I have heavy feeders, maybe you could go 1 1/2 teaspoon of each.Then I go full recommended flower strength, maybe you could try 3/4 recommended flower strength. Good luck, I haven't really grown any light feeder/sativas yet.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I burned some hempy plants trying to get as high as 1 teaspoon each Grow, Micro, Bloom. They never could take it. Right now I'm doing the transition between veg and flowering and for the first week gave them veg nutes and have now switched off to a light Lucas formula, using twice the Bloom as I am Micro. In your terms I'm using slightly less than a teaspoon Micro & slightly less than 2 teaspoons Bloom. (4 ml & 8 ml respectively.) The last plants I had in hempy buckets, I burned badly in flower, so I'm going slow this time. Go slow with your changes and watch your plants. Good luck!

![]() | Everyone thank you for your advice. I have 15 clones rooting away which should be ready in about 10 days. Gonna do a 12-16 plant hempy SOG in a 6sqft Cab. I am going to journal this grow and experiment with different nute strengths to try and zero in on the exact right formula for optimal results for my strain. Gonna go real low on some and super high on others and some in between. I hope to have a journal started tonight and hope you all come along for the ride. I would really appreciate you looking over my shoulder.. Thanks, Jim
