After 2 weeks... my little girls started showing a slight yellowing/lighter green. I fed them a capful-pr-gal of Fish emulsion (5-1-1) I had planed to feed them this till flowering since I was planning to flower them early. The Fish emulsion seemed not help... After some reading I got mixed info.... I read were fish emulsion worked great with DWC hydro... others say it won't work in hydro, only soil. Not to take any chances... I cleaned out the rez, and refilled it with a cap-full of PureBlend Pro Bloom. 2 days later, the girls look better... they are perkier, and all new growth looks healthy, but some of the yellowing still remains. I won't be able to get new nutes till next week, but I was planning on flowering by then. Should I continue feeding them the PureBlend Pro Bloom? Give the fish emulsion another shot? Mix them both? I'm sure the Bloom nutes won't harm them, I just think they may need some more (N) Any input would be appreciated. =] .

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Stick with just the pure blend pro. Thats a sure thing. Fish emulsion in hydroponics is fairly unexplored territory. I've heard of success with it but my opinion on it is its not a good idea, could cause root rot and other issues. I dont think its a full spectrum food either; At best I would only use it as an additive to a base nutrient program but again, this would be experimental and I wouldn't recommend it. The yellow leaves arn't going to "green up" as long as the new growth looks good and more leaves arn't going yellow then all is well.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Do you have any other nutrients other than the Pro Bloom and Fish? You could try mixing them and see what it does, but if they're okay with the Pro Bloom I'd let them chill for a day or two and see if the yellowing goes away. If it doesn't then try the mix, and if that doesn't work, you're back at square one and something else is wrong. Good luck! Peace.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the replies guys =] I'm sticking with the pureblend pro bloom... the girls seem to realy like it =] I'm heading off to the city later this week and pick up some pureblend pro grow and some cal-mag +..... but for now the girls are happy with feeding on the bloom. Any other nutes or nute additivs that you guys can think of while i'm down there will be very helpfull.... I want to stick with the pureblend series if posible.

![]() ![]() ![]() | If you want to use something like that fish emulsion, I'd say you ought to look at Iguana Juice or that Mother Earth Tea that AN makes. Unless I'm mistaken, they're made from the same kind of thing (organic nutrient sources like fish, manure, etc) but they're all nicely processed and cleaned up so you don't have the clogging and stinking problems most organics will have. So you can have all the benefit of hydroponics and organics without the problems.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I've been following your journal, really nice so far. But I'd say the results are more thanks to you than the Pure Blend. I just never really liked it that much. Try the Iguana Juice on your next grow. If you're like me you'll never go back.

I would have to agree with hydroherb there. Pure Blend Pro can't take the credit for your success. That was all you. It's a decent nutrient regimen but it's nothing special. There's nothing wrong with using it but it just doesn't give me the results I'm looking for. I've found that the Sensi two part that Advanced Nutrients makes works best for me as far as basic nutes go and I use Big Bud and Carboload on top of that. That set-up blows the doors off Pure Blend Pro any day of the week.

![]() | Should I buy pure blend pro bloom, my leafs are turning yellow. I would buy this; Miracle-Gro at Lowe's: 2-Pack Bloom Booster Refills But I don't know if it's the right one. Why does it say refills? I was trying to find this one; Miracle-Gro Water Soluble Bloom Booster Flower Food - Scotts Miracle-Gro but I can't find it for a good price online.
