I have been growing in coco and using Canna nutes for almost a year. Up until now I have just followed the schedule pretty much, but lately I have been looking into the make up of nutes. When I checked the bottles they don't have any Mg or Ca rating. I was wondering where it comes from or why they don't put it on the bottle?

![]() ![]() ![]() | I just use their regular line of nutes, that I hand water with. I have not seen a Mg or Ca listed on any of my bottles here in the states. The nutes don't say anything about hard water use. Knna do you know where else I can find these number? I was waiting for you to find this post since you have experience with coco and canna nutes.

![]() ![]() ![]() | WOW I'm an idiot they are on my bottles but the shop I get them from put their rather big pricetags right over them. On further insection I can see the info under the pricetags. Thanks KNNA and Burn-z.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | More detailed specs: (i dont know if you have micros detailed) From A+B (equal amount): 0,1% is nitrate on NH4+ form (and 4,9% on NO3-) 2% Mg+ (3% MgO) (do your bottle says 1%?) 0,8%S (2%SO3) 0,007%B 0,001%Cu 0,02% Fe(DTPA) and 0,0003%Fe(EDDTA) 0,01%Mn 0,002%Mo 0,007%Zn 0.5%Fulvine BTW, last crop i used 5mlA and 10mlB per 10l since peak flowering with good results in my like: less green plants at harvest and without deffs. But my system is recirculating

![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the info Knna, 5ml A and 10mlB huh. I thought you had to use them in equal portions(5ml A and 5ml B)? I have been looking for a good way to cut down the N in flowering, is that the reason you used 5ml A and 10ml B? I was going to cut back both in weeks 3 to 6 or so to get a lower level N. What do you think Knna? Oh by the way I hand water so I do not reuse any water if that changes anything.

The problem is if you use the canna schedule, plants finish too green in my like. But cutting fully the a+b feeding is a bit problematic, as it not only cuts N, but all the micros, Ca and Mg too. So i tried using half A than B in order to further reduce N feeding without reducing too much other elements feeding. As the Pk13-14 cover fine P and K, its micros and ca and Mg what becomes problematic. I tried to cut completely A+B and supplement with a micros formula, but it didnt worked well. Maybe it will be doable using the Sensical from AN, as its a Ca, Mg and micros formula, but it wasnt avalaible at my country until right now. BTW, your bottles list its composition separatelly? If so, post micros composition of each. Thanks in advance

![]() ![]() ![]() | Knna, my bottles have the same printout as the bottles you have in regard to nute profile. I get the same green finish you talk about. I was thinking about what you had in your post and think I will try the half A full B feedings and see what happens. I see what your saying with the problem in cutting both back, since the Mg and Ca are found in the B formula. How would 4ml A and 8ml B per gallon of water in weeks 3-6 sound? Also do you only use PK for one week or longer?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use full strenght A+B (35-40ml each per 10l, about 10ml/gal) until the flowering peak, about half flowering (4th to 5th week) and then i reduce to 5-10ml/10l (about 1.2-2.4ml/gal) until 10 days before harvest, when i flip to just water, after a flush (only flush i do along the full cycle). But probably ill try to use half A earlier next time and check what happens. So your plan seems good to me, dont forget to report how it goes I suppose the Ca comes in the A, as its composed mainly of calcium Nitrate usually. Burn-z posted it above, so i think its correct. Hope him has the splitted composition. But it isnt a problem reducing the Ca feeding on advanced flowering in coco, as the media stores high amounts of it and often its enough to finish the grow without Ca problems. The way i use PK is very different to how most people use it. I prefer to use it sparsenly since week 3 until cutting feeding, but at low doses. I prefer this way because is easier to keep ph on ranges this way and ive noticed it work the same. And i use Delta 9 as bloom stimulator, mainly by foliar, although i add a bit to the res one week when flipping to flowering photoperiod and at flowering peak. But i like to keep these supplements at low dosages (i think always on terms of total nutes added along the full cycle; for example, adding a total of 70ml of PK to the res). Each grow i do, i finish with lower ECs than the previous, and each time there is less difference on the EC i use with young plants than with older ones (lately i tend to use higher ECs on veg and early flowering and lower ECs during flowering itself). No difference in yield, but yes in taste.
