![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This will be a long post, gather supplies now! ![]() Welcome to the Bush my neighbors and soon to be friends! Doc D is in da house! This will be my first major post in a very long time, hope it's in the right place , been raising lovely young ladies for about 6 yrs now. Been reading on here for a long long time, getting the bug back heavy. I'll be using Plant Attitude's Bada series nutes along wit the infamous Bushmaster in my experiments.Strain- Sour Diesel Room- 6 x 5 x 8 Setup- Homemade Aeroflos Lights- 400w hps Nutes- Plant Attitude's Bada Series + Hydrozyme + Bushmaster Ahh... Bushmaster... ok, this stuff has had me in mad scientist mode for months now. Basically this was one product where I saw results quick, these quick changes in the plant structure made me interested in the idea of controlling node placement just as you would control the size of your plant. What if you had so many flowering sites that you had to pluck and prune actual bud sites for better air flow and for maximizing the best use of the plants energy. What if when you cut her down, the stem in your hands was the only stem part you could see. Sounds great but that's more like the ultimate in my dreams goal. But I dont dream for entertainment anyway so let do this! Not to mention Bush also speeds up the flowering time by making the plant think the stretch is over and it's time to produce flowers thus shortening the overall flowering time. Another large point of this for me is to make the plants short to maximize my light by keeping the lights close not only to the top colas but to all available colas. Keeping the plant under 18-24inches will ultimately give me more weight in the lower 50% of the plant which is usually airy popcorn. To achieve this, one would have to have a hearty mature enough plant to build large colas in the first place. I want to share my ideas and experimental results in an ongoing thread to master the Bush. I also want to share my ideas with you guys cause... basically, you guys and gals are the shit. Most everything I've learned about raising sexy ladies was built on a foundation of what I learned here first. Thanks folks! The Stretch The stretch phase occurs when flowering is induced and the plant starts it's 12/12 cycle and usually last for about 2 1/2 weeks. When Bush is used before the 12/12 flip it helps to stack the nodes tight together, some with less than 1/2inch spacing between. The tighter spacing will give you a larger more compact cola kind of like the top cola, but, all over the plant. If Bush is used before the flip and not afterwards during the stretch, the plant will have tight nodes at the bottom of the stem and then stretch as normal above that height. This means that Bush should be given throughout the stretch also. The desired node placement is dependent of your conditions (height restrictions, climate, style of growing). Now, the veg period is for bulking up your plants and obtaining the size you desire for your conditions. In theory I believe that the veg period is the most important time to use Bush properly. The stretch that follows is where Bush should be used just to keep everything where it is. Obtaining a short plant is no problem but proper node placement is critical. Nute schedule This is a serious section, this is where all the experiments take place. Everything I've read has told me to use the Bush by itself for a 24hr period without nutes, then switch to your regular nutes at 1/3 and slowly build up to your regular ppms (info is collective as I understood it). My last two grows I have given the bush along with nutes for up to 5 days at a time in veg and flower with very little burn. The overnuted signs for the Bush are burning from the tips and or from the sides of the leaf and a really tight leaf curl downwards. This could also be a sign of running the Bush for an extended period of time, 5days +. I always dilute bushmaster in warm water and let it sit for at least 1 hr, until it reaches room temp by itself. The Bush makes a bubbly foam on top of the res. I usually scoop this out and no problems, the diluting seems to help with this. I'm gonna drop some pics now and lets talk. I have a new schedule for the Bush but I'd love to hear any similar or different experiences with the Bush juice before I post it. The pics are a result of the new Bushmaster nute schedule I've developed Maybe too big of a word for a nute schedule but we'll see! Just check out the node spacing in the pics below, let me know what ya think... I just love this place cause I know my peeps gone ride or die! Thanks for readin my rant! I'm gonna go burn one, be back in a minute or 15 ![]() So let me hear it, Bushmaster... ![]()

Not much love in this thread right now anybody got any ideas or ways they run the almighty Bush juice?Anyways here's we goes... Here's how we do it in the Bush! The nute cycle in the veg will depend on how large of a plant you want but I"ve been running 1/2 teaspoon of Bushmaster per gallon with 1/3 strength nutes for 4 days with little burn. On my next set I'm lowering it to 1/4 teaspoon of Bushmaster per gallon with 1/3 strength nutes for 3 days to see if I can get the same shortening results with no burn. In my ever changing nute schedule I like to give them 4 days with no Bush @ 1/2 strength nutes. The idea is to stack nodes as new growth forms while the Bush is cycling. The days off allow a stretch of some sort which seems to occur over the entire compacted plant. Veg Cycle So if you veg for 4 weeks lets say. I would run your regular nutes for week 1 then begin 3 days with 1/4 teaspoon Bush @ 1/3 strength nutes and 4 days off @ 1/2 strength nutes, off and on for the next three weeks. Using Bush before the flowering stage also speeds up the time of flower production. The plant doesn't put much effort into the stretch and therefore can focus on it's next step, developing bud sites. Now that part is going to build the plant super structure for your mini bud empire. ![]() Flower Cycle This is when the plant normally stretches for the first 2 1/2 weeks. I think that a lesser dose of Bushmaster during this time would easily keep the stretching reasonable. I'm running 1/8 teaspoon Bushmaster per gallon for 3 days @ 1/3 strength nutes. I"m running this once at the start of the flip and once starting day 10. I'll keep ya updated. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the great thread. I think if you don't want to burn them then you have to give them [u]no[u] food with the Bushmaster. In your experiment are you running a control plant that gets no Bush? Could you please label these photos so I can tell which one is which and what you did to each one and how it plays out? One thing I've noticed with Bushmaster is that some strains seem to love it and some don't like it so much. I've got a bunch of skunk plants that I've LST'd into little shrubz... I'm tempted to Bushmaster them all but I think I'll just do a few to see how the skunk takes it. I recently Bushmastered my outdoor PurpleKush twice and had no burn... The first time I foliar fed it... This didn't stop the stretch. A few weeks later I poured it on at.... I can't remember the dose but it's the same as the dose on the bottle I believe.. That time it did stop them and they are filling out. ![]()

Whats up Crazytrain, appreciate ya words of wizzz... I've been watching your words for a while now, much respect!!! My goal is to try and push the mark and see if something different from the bottle description might work better for . I've been wondering about the foilar feeding of the Bush, havent done it yet. Did you use the bottle's dose? That surely was on the list of things to try. Control Plant I dont have a plant that didnt get Bush at all but I did run a set only giving Bush through the veg. 1/2 teaspoon per gal for 4 days @ 1/2 strength nutes. These plants stacked nodes at the bottom of the stem, when allowed to stretch during the beginning of flower the stem above the Bushmastered section stretched far with up to 6 - 8 inches of space between nodes. Pic below. I do what I do for personal, I'm my own patient if ya know what I mean. Therefore my perpetual gives me plenty of room to play the field due to a nice collective stash. Oh and I thank you guys for that...Thanks Crazy!!! Here's a pic of the second current set in action. 1/2 teaspoon per gal @ 1/2 strength nutes (400 ppm) 4 days before the flip.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'll pull up a seat to the show if you don't mind. I'm trying to crack some ThaiHazexSkunk from Sam the Skunkman and that beast is supposed to take 20+ weeks to flower. For some reason I am going to try to flower her in my cab...but in case she ends up overgrowing it I would like to see what Bushmaster can do. | ||

bluecheese I know, crazy aint it? Once I let em go with no bush after the flip they went up up and away. My temps have about a 8 degree range from day and night. I'm sure it's the light too, had to move it up to Purpmax the older women in the room! So, no Bush during the stretch once 12/12 starts plus distant light equals crazy freakin 8in nodes on a 2ft plant! speed pull it on up, roll it on up, inhale and relax, 20 weeks is gonna take a min! ![]() Update: I had to shed a little light on the subject ![]() Lookin purty good from below, popcorn explosion in progress! ![]() ![]() New set went in yesterday ![]() Older set thickening up nicely ![]() Plus: Long girls who received no Bush after flip have stopped stretching on day13, starting to form nice tops - pic to come ![]()
