I've heard this stuff is fantastic for growing indoors. If I use this soil, they also say it is enriched with nutirents....

I am currently using this soil for an indoor growroom, and have 6''-1ft plants in the vegging stage. My question is, would i need to add nutirients (sensi grow a & b) to this potting soil? or does this soil come with enough nutrients?

It should be good for the first 3-4 weeks. Then after that I usually start giving them nutrients.
They will tell you there hungry. So the answer is yes you will need additional nutrients.

SBluntman--I use FFOF and love the stuff.

I like to add about 25% perlite to that soil, and I also add jamaican and indonesian bat guano, but they aren't needed necessarily, the perlite, but not the guanos.

Don't add your nutes to the soil, but you will most likely be needing to add those in your waterings, I feed my plants everytime I water, so think it'll be sooner that 3-4 weeks by some time.

Great soil though.

Happy Growing

Bluntman,
I'll put the P.S up here so if there are to many words you'll get this part. Unless your in the rainforest or amazon jungle the Fox Farm Ocean Forrest with some added nutes "is" probably more than they would get in nature depending on the soil. So your probably good to grow but if your trying to grow the dankest of the dank and you've looked at some of the final pics and read the smoke reports etc. Organic is supposed to be very smooth burning and taste exceptional. I'll know first hand soon right now I'm trusting in my fellow burners to guide my way. Its about economy of scale to so let your budget be your guide i'll throw some prices on those as well so you can see.

I use the Profound Soil Mixture and will log it here so it's easy to see. I am having excellent results and my plants are jumping. I am growing 100% Sativas which you have to be extra careful for Burn. You can go to my signature and ck my grow journal and look at my plants tons of pics in there. TONS.

I made a batch of soil last night and needed a big batch for transplanting. I have 13 plants above ground. I have 6 under a 400w Metal Halide and 7 under a T4 Florescent. I transplanted 4 of the 7 to under the Metal Halide.

Soil
20 gallons of Fox Farm Ocean Forrest Potting Soil ($26 per lrg bag)
4 gallons of Wiggle Worm Earth Worm Castings ($26)
12 gallons of Perlite ($26 for a bag 4 x the FFOF)
(I used a different kind which was larger per grainule so I cut this down) was stil 30% of the total mix of FFOF and Casting

Then I added to Soil:

24 ML Bone Meal (1ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($9)
24 ML Blood Meal (1ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($9)
48 ML Dolomite Lime (2 ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($12)
24 ML Kelp (1ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($9)
add these once move to 5 Gallon Buckets plus you bump up the Kelp and the Lime
100 ML Neptune’s Crab Shell (21 % Calcium) (1ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($23)
Neptune’s Crab Shell calls for a 1/2 cup which = 100 ML
24 Mexican Bat Guano (1ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($9)
48 Jamaican Bat Guano (2ML per Gallon of soil Not Perlite) ($9) same or similar to Indonessian

If I had the labels I could tell you that one of the Bat Guano's is higher in Phosphorous and the other one In Nitrogen. Hence as long as it's like that the country doesn't mater unless there is somthing from those two countries thats miraculous which I don't know about.
I bought two big bags of Fox Farm Ocean Forrest but ran out so I used 100% organic cow manure to stretch it because it has sand in it as well. This brand had no smell. My Hydro store is an hour away and it was late in the day when I ran out so my hydro store was closed Lowes open til 10pm. hated to use the organic cow manure but it was the best choice I had to go with and I only need to use a few gallons in the end.

As I have Sativas I use 1/4 the recommended nute regimen and then move up on subsequent feedings by another 1/4 getting to 1ML per gallon that has seemed to be my burn point some were burned some were not. So I am holding back below 1ML for now. ( I did Flush and start back lower after flush)

Nutes to Water:
BcuzZ Root 1/4 ML , 1/2 ML , .75 , 1 ML
Fox Farm Grow Big 1/4 ML , 1/2 ML , .75 , 1 ML ($16)
Fox Farm Big Bloom 1/4 ML , 1/2 ML , .75 , 1 ML ($16)
Coming Soon : (BushMaster)(Tiger Bloom ($16) is coming and Open Sesame,Beastie Blooms,ChaChing($75) for all three)

Essentially its Zero Nutes on transplant, 1/4 ML , 1/2 ML , .75 , 1 ML
at 1 ML for me has been the watch out so I'm backing down to .75. I had to flush that next feeding which put me back to zero. I take the watch your plants let them tell you approach to heart. I don’t use the label, labels want you to use up your product so you buy more. I ask and read the boards to see what the strain likes or does not like. Then apply and let the individual plants tell me what they like.

I hope this helps but so far none if my plants have done anything but take off.

... Why do you add all that to the soil? Seems like overkill to me. FFOF has everything you need except the extra perlite. I`d be afraid my plants would burn big time with all that...

I didn’t make up the formula I’m following the Profound Soil Guide or Formula and my plants have been reacting well to it. I didn't know I was over killing it. It is Organic and I was under the impression Organic does not burn it releases like time releases. My first grow as well. I add all those components in relation to the Fox Farm and the Worm Castings. 1 TSP of like Bat Guano per gallon of Soil etc to a formula. I didn't add nutes for a long time then I go one week on one week off. I was at 1/4 of the recommended dosage and eased it up as I went along. Also I'm not watering but once ever 7 days.

I do have two plants Crow Footing but it looks like the buckets they are in are holding Moisture more than the others.

When I add nutes my PPM were really low until this past week end when I was up to 900 which others have said man that’s really low. The only chemicals I’m using that I’m aware of is Tiger Bloom and I thought that was Organic. Every thing else is listed as 100 % organic.

When i'm mixing it up the 24 gallons of soil is actually rather large amount compared to the number of mililitres of organic compounds I'm adding in. Also I took it under advisment Profound knows what he's talking about. Maybe not time will tell.

If it turns out its over kill I’ll have re usable soil that’s in good condition?

I guess I should have talked more about the transistion up to when you add the Bat Guanno etc. I guess if you read more the context of what I wrote yo ucan see the why. Maybe you skipped the words and went straight to the amounts or somthing ??

Hydroe Moe got on me for jumping from 20 oz cups to 5 gal pots , lol. But I didn't know that was a foul ball either live and learn. On my second batch thats behind the Sativa I'm going 20 oz cups 6in pots , 1 gal and slowly transistioning on up. Not adding the extra organics to the soil til further along. I'll reconsider but also loking at the material on what encourages females I'm looking at the organics that make for more females as well.

I'm reading Redmans link I'd ask you read up on where Profound is coming from in his Organic Formula and let me know where I went wrong ?

Here is what they look like so far.

I’m not seeing any major burning or anything and these are 100% Sativa.

Kinda disapointed no one has responded after sending me to read up on Orgainics and seeing some other pros point to Profound. And then seeing some one link to the MJ Bible.

Marijuana Cultivation Bible
Organics
The first and best reason to consider using organic fertilizers instead of chemicals is that there is almost zero chance that you will burn (overfertilization causing injury or death) the plants with them. When fed organic substances, plants will only take in the nutrients they need, leaving the rest in the soil. Additionally, organic fertilizers are broken down slowly in the soil by microorganisms, which ensures a steady supply of nutrients to your plants; also, lots of soil microorganisms are good for the soil and consequently, your plants as well.

No Drama, I'm just trying to learn perspective and a better way to do things being inexperienced. I just read all that you asked and heard nothing in return somtimes it's easier to just throw out a link with out backing it up or explaining your point of view and not seek to understand anothers, I guess.

Although the mix I used may be Overkill there is no chance of Burning if you don't use Chemicals. According to Da Bible ......
