i had the same issue w/ my first 2 grows -

the first one more so then the last - i fiddled around trying to figure if i was defiicient in this or that or if i was burning them with to much

i have a new suspicion of my own and want to see if it holds water-

reading about these nute formulas that add products like awesome blossom or what ever to increase crystals i wonder if i am adding this product to soon or to much causing leeching sooner than appropriate
(sorry i have no pics since this is an after thought -)
in doing so it would account for the plants turning purple starting at top and working its way down drying and briddle at tips

ultimtiely being what i thought it wasnt - not enough Nitrogen

i thought that these products added crystals or what ever but really they are leaching the nitrogen out ??? yes

if i hit the nail on the head -- what week do you start leeching (adding awesom blossom) an 8 week flowering plant?

The first 2 weeks after flipping to 12 x 12 the plants are "Stretching" and needing N, after that they will start to need more P & K products like awesome blossom. they will also start to use up the stored N in the fan leaves.
very important to watch your PH also.
