What are the pro's and con's of using ash (like pipe ash) and plants for nutrients. I remember reading something about how volcano's were great for these reasons. The ash from burned plants (in my case, pipe weed) enrichened the soil to promote faster growth of new plants and better soil. If this is the case, would it be a good idea to knock out my pipe over my plants. | ||

| i have done this and both times i ended up with powdery mildew all over my plants... hard to say if it was the ash though i even mixed it with my soil and ashed joints into buket while smokin... still wonder if it was the ash or not... havent done it since peace | ||

 | it would be pointless. hard wood ash is good for pottasium. dont think weed conatins any nutrients, unless it wasnt flushed.   but even if it contained them, you would need to smoke an ounce to supply enough for one week, and even then, you need to give it a variety, not just one little nutrient. there is your basic NPK nutes, and micro nutrients. plants need all these, not just one. | ||
