![]() | I have recently been using the Lucas formula for growing some autoflowering strains in 2-liter bottle Hempy's. I have been having very bad older leaf yellowing. It started a couple weeks ago, and they are finishing up now, so like they should be doing it now, but have been doing it a lot longer than they should. I have orderd the grow part to the GH line of nutes, and plan on adding it into the nute regiment for my next batch which is starting flowering right now with lucas formula, and is also having some yellowing leaves on the older ones. I have tried adding epsom salts, but followed by no success. Is changing to the 3-part going to help this situation? What else do you all suggest? Thanks a lot. Peace/Love/Joy

DUUUUDEEE!!! Welcome to my domain. WTF happened to planetganja???? Anyways, ya, your problem is very common and many people have the same issues as you have. The GH formula is meant to incorporate the 3 part regimen. Just follow their recipe on the back of the bottle or visit their website for a more precise feeding schedule. Since you are doing auto flowers, i'm assuming the 3-2-1 and 1-2-3 is a bit too much for those small suckers. Maybe for the veg phase, keep the feeding schedule at 10-5-5(ml) or 2-1-1(tsp) and for the transition, maybe 10-10-10 or 2-2-2. For flower, i'd max out at like 5-10-10. Basically, the formula is amazing and can be toyed anyway. Just watch your plants for signs. It would really help if you bought a PH meter and a EC/PPM meter to watch any swings. If your too cheap to get an EC meter, just get a PH meter and watch that. PH falls, nutrients are too concentrated, PH rises plants want more food and adjust your schedule accordingly to that.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | HempyFTW, It looks like you know what's wrong with your plants or at least did some research. You should be able to figure out what's wrong with the barrage of info you posted up. The Lucas formula works great in flower. Not too much experience in veg with it as I would rather give the plant plenty of N to get it off and running. The Micro has 5 for N and that is plenty for flower, but as far as veg goes, the original formula is tough to beat. By saying your plants grew great for a month, leads me to believe that Luke was right on with the build up in the bottom of the bucket. Maybe not but I would look there for sure. To each their own on the Lucas but that's my take on it. Oh yeah, I suck at hempies Can't bring myself to feed them enough. I have extensive experience with GH though.

![]() | you mean you cant bring yourself to feed them enough like strength of the nute mix, or like not enough days in a row without flush? I have the three parts now, with 6 white russian females a couple of weeks into flowering and they are doing awesome now. The others are getting ready to be harvested, just been taking the fan leaves off now. I am really excited! Booyah! Peace/Love/Joy
