![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rubba Dub Dub, I Got my girls in the Tub ![]() YUMBOLT47's Day 54 in flower. 8 Week flowering strain. Started the 'Flush' on Day 52. HEMPY BUCKET, flushed with straight tap water (about 5 gallons each-flooded bucket, let drain, reapeated.) Then Tipped bucket on side, drained, and flushed again with tap that WAS PH'd to 6.0 I'm using Fox Farms (GB, BB, TB) and my schedule calls for me to use nutes right untill the end. It does not say anything about 'flushing'. My question is this... I'm not sure if plant will be 'ready' for harvest in just a few more days.(#1) If I stopped with the FF nutes but decide to take girls into week 9 or 10 before harvesting, are my girls still going to continue to 'grow' being fed only tap water in a hempy bucket? (#2) What is the LONGEST time I should flush? (#3) Should I be Ph'ing the tap water through-out the whole flush, or can I begin the flush with straight tap (7.5) then for the final gallon or so Ph the water? (#4) Do I run like 5 gallons of water through the bucket every other day untill harvest- or am I just adding enough water untill I see run-off? Sorry for so many questions and for NOT having a clue ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When I grow in Hempy buckets, I just feed pH'd water (+Sweet sometimes) for the last two weeks. It seems to me that if you ran water through them to the point where the res just has wter in it, you'd be starving the plants. I do the same thing in E&F - that is reduce - rather than cut out the nutes. Granted, most of my Hempy plants do not yellow, but the smoke is still good.

JustJG -- There are enough red pistols on the tops there to harvest them. You don't have to sack the whole plant, just cut what is ready and let the rest mature over the next few days/weeks. When you take the tops, the plant will have more resources available to finish the lower buds. Also, with the tops out of the way, more light will reach the mids and lowers. Flushing is fine at this stage. You've got lush green foliage that is stacked with stored nutrition. They will not starve, in fact this is why plants store food in the first place. You can take this method to the extreme and when you get down to just the lower 4 branches, trim the roots, repot and throw her back into 18/6. If you like the smoke, make her a mommy. Nicely done.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I accidently "snapped' a side branch off last night wile moving them around. It is all good though bcuz I planned on snipping a trial bud anyways. I hung it upside down in a paper bag and shes been hangin out there since. I plan on trying to smoke her tonight or tomorrow to see where shes at. If she don't burn in a J, I'll throw it in the vaporizer and see what happens. I will continue with straight water untill they are outta there. I might try to leave some of the bottom buds/branches to harvest later, but I really need some extra room for ms. Blueberry and the 2 haze's in there.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | next time you water check the EC of the run off. i find hempy buckets almost always have nutrients hidden in there somewhere. i flushed the ever loving crap out of mine, and could never get below 250ppm. so i just gave up.... lol. shes been on straight water for a good 3 weeks now and still hasnt yellowed.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I tried to smoke a snipped bud from last night and it just wouldnt burn.. I ended up 'wasting' it in a bowl- I HATE BOWLS ANYWAYS, so No Matter WHAT it tasted like...I was going to be disapointed. I did get my good magnifying glass today (Thanks Dad )and for the first time ever, actually seen the 'trichs' I've been reading about for 4 months now My Mag is 60X-100X and I get very good shots, from what I can tell they all look 'mostly' cloudy still - I do see some Amber ones (I think)? I def think they could benifit from an extra week or 2. I went against EVERYTHING I've read so far and removed ALOT of the big sucker/fan leaves from them... I figured I couldnt 'kill' em and the bottoms are SOOO light deprived? It did give em alot more room in the cab...I'm going to quit trying to justify what I KNOW was so wrong to do now...(Thanks Dad- He encouraged the fan leaf removal and STILL thinks I did the best thing?) Hey, it's my 1st time- I HAVE to make some mistakes along the way![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good morning JJG "Make mistakes along the way" I thought thats what forums were really all about ... Collectively we've all made our share of mistakes (Lord only knows I have) and we then pass on our mistakes and mishaps so that others don't make the same mistake .. "Why try to reinvent a wheel" ![]() Anyway, glad to hear you finnaly got to see "up-close-an-personal" the trichs you've only read about or seen in photos online.. Its always nice to see them for yourself. Good luck and def. give em more time.. Peace don

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, after a lil more investigating on the Trich's I learned that 'Only the head turns amber- Not the stem?' So after re-examining them, then looking at the trichs on the Strawberry, I think I have more Amber Trich's on the Yumbolts than first thought? My Strawberry Trich's are DEF Cloudy- Theres NO doubt about that! They actually look 'Milky' they look NOTHING like the trichs on the yumbolts. The Yumbolts (by breeder package) says its Harvest Day Today...But my Gut tells me to wait...so thats what I'm doing. Must be that womans intuition or some crap I don't want to let them go TOOO long as I've read that doing that can be bad also? I'm going to continure to just water though so we will see what happens? How will I know when I've waited too long and the TCH is degrading? What will the trich's look like b4 they start dying-or what will they look like dead?
