![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Never used this fertilzer but im inclined to think it might be good. I live in Maine and i use compost made in state. (I like to make my own stoner attempt at giving back to our economy) The two composts i use are made from biproducts of the marine and fishin industies. I.E. fish emulsions and the seaweed you speak of. (i actually used to rake this stuff from boats for a living once. THere is ALOT of money in it beleive it or not) I plant in a mix of one compost and the other i steep into organic teas. They both seem to produce plants that are quite hardy. Example.. i had a slug infestation this year that tore plants down to the stems. I assumed them dead.. but.. somwhere along the lines these things became vigorous enough that a few weeks later they have completely grown back. They are actually doing better than the two i kept in containers this year. I dont know if its to be attributed to the compost or not, but the night temps when i put those others out were still in low 40`s and high 30`s!! In addition to the unrelenting slug attacks. They are boucning back like nothing ever happened. All ended up being female i might add. So, i gotta think there is somthin to it. (or maybe i just like to since its somthing i also swear by )

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm testing it on one plant of out 6.... same strain same conditions.....I have only had the chance to add it once to the soil. I filled up a 1 gallon jug of water... added 2 tablespoons of the concentrate to the water (directions state 1-2 teaspoons per quart of water) it made the water turn brownish/black ...Has a nice seaweed/fishy smell like aquarium water![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | sounds similar to mine. Though like i said its not a liquid conetrate.. It almost looks like a settled muddy water but there arent any traces of solid sediment in it. I just used an old nylon stocking to steep like a tea bag. I only applied it once to one of mine ( ive done it 4 or 5 times now,and to the rest of them since) Pics are in the link to my journal. The one with the tea aplication is the one that wasnt in the 5 gallon bucket at the time.

Welcome Harvest Farms - Kelp Meal Ascophyllum Nodosum kelp meal has been used for centuries, throughout the world, as a rich, nonpolluting source of natural organic minerals and nutrients. Kelp contains over 60 minerals and elements, 21 amino acids, simple and complex carbohydrates, and several essential growth hormones (auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellins), that are already chelated in a form that is water soluble and mobile in the soil. Under certain agricultural conditions kelp meal enhances the germination of seeds, increases the uptake of nutrients, imparts a degree of frost resistance, and inhibits the attack of plants by pathogenic fungi, predatory insects and soil nematodes. When used as a fertilizer supplement, kelp meal is an excellent source of chelated minerals necessary for proper plant growth. Mannitol and alginic acid are major components of kelp and act as agents helping in the formation of humus. The benefit of kelp meal increases each year as it contributes to the soil organic matter.

![]() ![]() | I've been using the Maxicrop for years now -for soil grows that is. I've never had a problem with micro-nute deficiencies. The only problems I've had were related to pH issues and recently, over watering. I think it's an excellent supplement for soil grows. Of course, this is just 1 opinion.
