molasses
permalink

the whole malasses trens is pretty col and the stuff in the grocery store will work, alot of people use it.

the thing that started the trend, and the politically corect thing to use is called horticultural molasses.

Amazon.com: Horticultural Molasses - Gallon: Patio, Lawn & Garden
Natural Gardener: Helpful Information > Tips > May
Natures Wisdom Horticultural Molasses Gal - Buy Now!

the bacteria etc...every one wants it for is in the horticultural molasses.
you can use the stuff from the store, but think about this for a moment because the stuff in the grocery store, and if it had all the bacteria etc.... would you eat it? it is food after all, and it is a bit different than the stuff for growing plants...as a swweetener you could probably just add corn syrup or dissolve sugar in water, but there is more reason for using it than a sweetener.

they are both molasses, but they are not the same....

i thought it was the carbs and sugars we were after in the molasses....not so much the bacteria...

Maybe it's not politically correct to buy something over the internet that you can get for less money and no shipping that costs more than the product, at the local store?

I dont know about store molasses compared to the grow type.

I do know. Bacteria's are all over the place though, even in the food you eat. Maybe the government should require labels for "our safety"? Kind of like how the USA Feds buy companies in the name of communisim (ohh I am sorry they are Democratic (still communistic in my eyes)). ..dont get me started with health care and how they "will take care of us" yet let us have freedom? Can you say oxy moron? I just say moron. ...ok I am done rant'n.

FYI none of that rant was directed at you or any non government official...privateer

Debate'n on sweets is cool and all.

Seems the best way to know is for people to make up their own mind..... by go'n with what they feel comfortable using what ever gives them the best results.

As for politics ...well we do we really want to go there? lol

To my understanding it's not the bacteria in the molasses that we're after, it's the bacteria in the soil that is fed by the molasses.. That is what we are looking for.

Yes, I add to my "tea", all during veg, at the rate of 1 to 1.5 tablespoon per gallon. IMO there are nothing but positive results. Why wait until flower? I stop adding any about 2 to 3 weeks from harvest
