What to use for pH adjustment?

I always see post suggesting you adjust your pH up or down but I have never seen a post suggesting what to use.

Please post what you use to adjust up/down

seriously thats what its called. different companies have different kinds, they are all pretty much the same.

i use general hydroponics ph up and down.

DO NOT use pool grade ph adjusters!!!!

use the stuff made for plants or something otherwise natural..

ph up and down are only like 20 bucks for the set...you will need a ph pen as well to know where you are at.

and never use up and down in the same nute mix. if you miss your mark dump it out and start over. dont use the opposite ph adjuster.

I'm not sure what others think, but I use sulfuric acid to lower and sodium hydroxide to raise my pH.

Sulfuric Acid = Battery Acid, available at all auto parts stores
Sodium Hydroxide = Chemical Grade for Labs, available online

I make concentrated working solutions of both and then use these to adjust pH. A little goes a LONG way.

So far so good...

i bought a bottle of GH ph up and down in my early twenties....still got em to this day. the shit lasts forever.

3 crops inside almost, 1 outside, plus gallons of water for houseplants/outside flowers...i still have 2/3rds a container of dry ph up. 1 month i will have had it for a whole year. that equals out to around 8 dollars a year to adjust my ph.

dont cheap out on something thats cheap people. lol

But what if the applied nutrients lower the solution's pH to, say, 5.8 or 5.6 for soil grows, and you need to bring it up to 6.2-6.4? Your water is steady at say 7.0 but the bloom feed now brings it to 5.8 rather than the 6.2 the veg nutes lowered it to.

Still no to the mix/match on adjusters? What's the alternative?
