Should I raise the Nutes a bit?
permalink

Well over the past 2 days i have noticed the leaves really start to get yellow. I am feeding at about 950 ppm. Do you think I should "up" the nutes quite a bit next res change? Think this is just normal at 33 days? Its seems to only be happening directly under the light, not sure if its just sucking up the N or if it appears to be something else. Thanks for all replies...

Hey Budz,

Nice looking plant. I am assuming that when you say 36 days, that you are speaking about flowering. It is probably natural around this time to get some yellowing going on as the plant starts to consume the nitrogen in the leaves. If it is still drinking well, and the buds are still swelling, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

What strain is it?

Peace.

Wish I could help ya, I suck at diagnosing plants. Sounds like light burn, but looks like Mag def, which could be from nutes too week or from PH being off. Maybe you should move this over to the nursery and fill out the questionaire.
Awesome looking buds by the way... Purple Kush?

Thanks for the compliments. The plant is a WW. I have the journal for it in the link in signature.
Ya know what, I think you are right CRAZYTRAIN, I put my girlfriend in charge of the plant a couple days ago and I am thinking she didn't turn on the fan for the light...again. Hopefully it did hurt it too bad.
Thanks for the replies...

My two cents

I think its just normal yellowing.

Even outdoors with a stiff breeze my plants start to do that once they get into flowering a few weeks.

Id keep doing what you have been and see if it gets any worse first before changing things.

Obviously youve been doing things right up till now. No reason to think differently cuz of slightly yellow leaves in flower.

Thanks, I appriciate it. In the 2 days that the leaves have been yellowing rapidly, it has grown ALOT. More than the previous week all together. Fast growth through week 1,2,3. Then week 4 was slow, now its back to fast growth at week 5. I think it was a combination of heat build-up from the fan being off and the plant just going through its natuarl stages. Thanks for the input, I am just gonna continue with what I am doing, like ya said, it seems to be working decent so far...

It was a freebie seed from The Attitude. G-13 Labs. If I might suggest trying Rockwool. I did a hempy grow a few grows ago, using the RW hugo blocks is much easier, cleaner, and more consistant. You can check out my grow journal in my signature if you would like to see the progression of the plant...
