Hi everybody. I'm looking for a new soil type. Mainly because I am tired of mixing my own. I was looking into fox farms soils and couldnt decide on wich to get. Seems they are all pretty much the same price. So my question is, does one stand out above the others? Also how manny gallons are in the bags? I will need to order it, so I want to order enough for the year. Shipping that stuffs a pain. Price nearly doubles. Thanks for any help.

FFOF is the shit...i mix my own cause i cant afford it anymore. use the ocean forest and cut it with perlite to make it go a little farther. you can cut it with a bag of light warrior, but ocean forest is by far the shit by its self!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Do you have any idea how many gallons the 1.5 cubic foot bags contain? I'll be ordering it and it's about 30$ extra to ship, so i want to get enough.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well 5 gallons is .79 cubic feet. one bag of FFOF will fill 4 of my largest pots. they are about 4 gallons{10x10x10} i believe...it provides enough soil to run 4 plants through an entire cycle...including all pot ups. with a little left over. i add about 30% extra perlite... so usually one bag of FFOF and a bag or two or perlite gets me somewhere around 20 gallons i would guess. it fluffs up a bit as you break it out of the compacted bag.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I mix about 2 parts Light Warrior to 1 part Ocean Forest for seedlings and their first couple weeks. After that I mix about 75% OF, 20% perlite, and 5% Light Warrior just for kicks. When I transplant into the mostly OF mix I like to wait a week or two before I start feeding also. The OF soil nutrients alone are enough for the early stages of growth, so I let them eat em up a week or two before I started adding any of my own.
