Look at the miracle grow as fast food. It's products are not designed for pot, made of cheap ingrediants. Every plant needs food. Can't just go off water.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | there is really no conclusive proof the ingredients in MG fertilizers are any more or less pure than over priced hydro store nutes. MG gets a bad rap from its soil being absolute junk...and most it is. that being said, most plants will still grow fairly well in it. there are plenty off the shelf nutrients that are not "designed" for mj, and not sold at hydro stores that will work fine. most of the people will want to brainwash you into believing mj, one of the hardiest and easy to grow plants, some how demands exotic overpriced nutrients sold from specialty stores. miracle grow buys in quantities not even imaginable by 99% of hydro companies. they are sold everywhere...of course the price will be lower. its simple economics. Dont get me wrong, im no advocate of miracle grow...but they do have products that will get you through to harvest. that said, regular garden stores sell nearly everything you need to grow awesome pot. you just have to know what you need, and not what people will try and sell you on.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would stay away from MG if youre just starting out. It will turn your soil to toxic waste if you don't mix it perfectly, and even if you do your ph will still be all over the place, because its designed for a big garden of tomatoes, not your 6" pot plant. It can be done (I did it lol). But really, theres alot of talk on this site, about MG soil (and how bad it sucks) but whats the difference? honestly? you add MG ferts to your ocean forest (example) soil it becomes........MG Soil!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Miracle grow is owned by plenty of things I stay away from. It's nothing but a huge chemical company. There products are about the only thing sold at chain stores and it's sad. I personally think the nutrients suck. Big time. The organic line and everything else. I mean urine works...Doesn't mean I want to use it. I sort of did a side by side this year with flowers. One side with MG products...Other with organic products. Not miracle grow organic. Well, the difference is unreal. Organic side looks like its 20 times bigger and healthier. Also grew plenty of vegtables with MG. TASTE NASTY. I'm just saying there is much better choices. And I wouldn't call 2-3 hundred a year for new nutrients and lights overpriced. That's the cost of an ounce here. Wich I can grow 2-3 pounds for the same amount.?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Actually, MG is sold at chains and local nurseries just alike. sure its crap. but you are projecting opinion as fact. chemicals are chemicals. they are mineral salts in a bottle. is General Hydroponics anything less than a huge chemical company? believe what you want, but there is no need to ever visit a hydro store or ever buy anything mj specific in order to grow good pot.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I wasnt telling him to buy something pot specific. Only company I know of that claims to produce for cannabis is advandced nutrients. I was just trying to say Mg products suck for pot, and in my own experience doesn't even do that great for flowers. I would certainly argue there is different "grades" of chemicals. GH makes plant only products that i know of. Scotts owns miracle grow and like 10 other things. They even produce lawn patio. Now you can sit and stare at your chemical infested gardens. No offence chem users. I just don't like them. ![]()

![]() | i'd like to know more about stoney cat's miracle grow experience. what i really want to know is: did you ever clone or seed that crazy MJ that MG gave you, and if you did, did the leaves come out normal or still basil/tomato/pepper like? because that plant was awesome. if i had a plant that looked like that, it would take the place of hedges, outdoors, in plain sight ![]()
