![]() ![]() | Hey BoubonicChronic, Welcome to GC. Deciding on which nutes to use is like choosing what to eat for dinner. The simple goal is fill your stomach and give you the energy to grow. It breaks down to what your willing to spend and your comfort level with gardening. Pretty much all fertilizers and nutrients will work and allow for a successful grow. Some work better then others, some are less expensive then others, and some are easier to use then others. To start I would suggest a simple to use base nutrient and a single bloom enhancer. Complete a grow using just those, and you'll quickly discover what you like and don't like, and what other goodies you may want to try later on. I know it will be hard to resist trying all the fancy enhancers and beneficials but its better to take simple steps first. Keep it simple and give it time, and things will be fine. LST = Low Stress Training. To my understanding the goal here is to train the plant to grow out more horizontally then vertically. This allows for better light penetration and airflow. Most people use fishing line, twine, string, ropes, rubberbands, twistyties, and/or anything else you can fine. You take your line and gently tie it to a branch. The other end of the line you can put a small fishing weight, or tie/tape it to the side of your growing container. Basically you are carefully bending the little branch to the side and down. The KEY here is very little effort is needed. Don't get over zealous and try to bend it too much, it will break. If you do a search in the forums you will see some great instructions with photos that can help explain it better. | ||
