I don't use hormone either, but, like I said, I have done some side by sides so I have some. I have a rooted clone I was given that has gone through environmental shock and I am going to pull a pretty small tip from a shocked rooted clone in an effort to save genes and was going to use hormone.

It sparked my oft wondered, occasionally asked and never answered question was all. In this instance I will use it.

Id think your best option would be to email one of the companies who puts the lable on and ask why.

Should get a good answer. If not then they really have no reason for it. lol

As far as i kno IBA is the active ingredient in most rooting gels and powders and it occurs naturally in callous tissue. IBA just makes it easier for the plant to root. BT also occurs naturally in plants. The stuff that is sold is mass produced by genetically engineering bacteria to make a shit load.

btw they do make organic rooting hormone google it.
