Recommended Supplemental Additives for Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow - QUALITY BUDS
permalink

so below is what we have been using for Nutes mostly botanicare but we want to use whatever additives are necessary to reach maximum plant potential. With previous Hempy grows we have always used a media amendment on top of our planting mixture, any suggestions?

we grow hempy 60/40 coco, perlite, rockton bottom 2 inches and lttle mixed in. Nutes are using the Botanicare PBP line for the most part, but will be heavily supplementing. Right now we are mixing a 2 gallon batch to feed all 6 plants and we feed once daily... any thoughts on that?

9/27/09 Planted

9/28/09
2 Gal DI (H20)
7.5 Ml Pure Blend Pro Gro
10 Ml Cal-Mag (+5 Ml as explained later)
5 Ml Liquid Karma
15 Ml Hygrozyme
3 Ml Humboldt Roots
1 Scoop (came in the container) Great White, supposed to be a replacement for taran and pihran but we will see
our ppm at this point was 535 which we thought a bit low, and since it was a new system we decided to add 5 Ml Cal-Mag which brought our ppm to 595
came out to 4.8 pH which we adjusted to 5.9-6.0

9/29/09
2 Gal DI
7.5 Ml Pure Blend Pro Gro
10 Ml Cal-Mag
5 Ml Liquid Karma
15 Ml Hygrozyme
3 Ml Humboldt Roots
pH 4.7 adjusted to 5.8
ppm 591

so we have been reading and with our Hempy based coco system it seems 2 days of nutes then one day off seems like a good nute schedule, so this day we only added hygrozyme, Humboldt roots, and great white (we live in an area where we are concerned about rot fungus and pesticides so these are safety precautions)

9/30/09
*FLUSH*
2 Gal DI
1 Scoop Great White
15 Ml Hygrozyme
3 Ml Humboldt Roots
pH 4.6 adjusted to 5.6
ppm 75

10/1/09
2 Gal DI
7.5 Ml Pure Blend Pro Gro
10 Ml Cal-Mag
5 Ml Liquid Karma
15 Ml Hygrozyme
3 Ml Humboldt Roots
pH 4.0 adjusted to 6.0
ppm 575

So thats us so far.
Questions: Great White? Who has experience using and what is the best way to do it. Will it totally replace tarantula and piranha or do we need something else. some questions are how often do we use the great white?
Our ppms are a bit low we think, any thoughts or ways to raise them?
We want to heavily supplement, but arent sure exactly what would help us. Some of these nutes we will be using for sure (already in plan, definitely using) but the rest are just ideas we are considering. Any thoughts, experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Botani's Silica Blast (already in plan, definitely using)
Voodoo Juice
An Organic Seaweed additive for use throughout all growth stages
Superthrive (necessary or helpful when using humboldt roots? tons of ST lyin round)
Hydro-Organics Earth Juice line? (catalyst/microblast/assist specifcally)
FoxFarm Solubles TriPack (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, Cha-Ching)
Emerald Triangle Trio (used and worshiped by many friends, Purple Maxx, Gravity, and Bushmaster. my local hydro did mention a better more effective line:Humboldts supposed to be better than grav deuce deuce?)
Technaflora's Sugardaddy or Botani's Sweet type product (to be used throughout grow, not as a finisher)
Guano Company's Budswell (already in plan, definitely using)
Roots Organics' Trinity Carbo Catalyst, Extreme Serene and Ancient amber???

Again, these are just products that we thought might be good additions. We don't know much about them or even if some could be detrimental considering our base nutes and already used additives.
All advice and thoughts welcome and encouraged, hopefully some of you pros can help us out : )
thanks!
