Check out Composting Tips for some good info.

I did some composting a few years back using my bagged grass clippings, shredded newspaper, and some dirt. Used about 1 days (not Sunday) worth of Newspaper, run through the paper shredder (make sure you have a good one or this takes FOREVER), per bag of clippings (standard push mower). Mixed them up with some regular dirt. I watered and turned it with a hard metal rake about once a week and it turned out great... used it for veggies, not pot, but it all grows the same!

Good luck!

plain cardbord works really well with worms too. if you can, layer cardboard or newspaper with clippings or old plant matter, they really seem to like that.

I am pretty sure caorboard glue is just a simple sugar so it is turned into a bacteria fest, which worms love
