Hopefully calibrating will straighten things up. It is pretty much assumed a given that when tap water is used with GH further pH down adjustments are needed...especially if you started at a 7.5 pH.

My tap PH is 7.5-7.8 and once I add my nutes it drops to 6.1-6.2. A couple drops of PH down and I am good.

Hey dude,

FWIW - I use GH floranova with very clean (less than 7 ppm) well water. The water comes out of the well at a ph of 7.8 or so. I use about 1-1.5 tsp/gal of the GH and normally land right around 6.4-6.5, which is perfect for a soil grower like me.

I also add some calmag, and a drop of superthrive, but these don't seem to affect the ph at all.

Peace.
