Silica blast or similar I always keep on hand, it is excellent for bringing PH up, better than " PH Up " in my opinion, and silicon strengthens the stems, and is said to help plants tolerate drought and other stress. But I have really hard water, and using it regularly would require me to use a lot of PH down. I like to keep things simple ( less is more, as Hydrosan says, LOL ), so I don't use it regularly, just as a correctant ( is that a word? Spellcheck doesn't think so )when I over medicate with PH down, .

That's rough losing your hook up. I might suggest though that you buy some seeds from a reputable seed bank for your next grow. The money spent on the seeds will be more than worth it. A good strain is far more important for yield and potency than a bunch of supplements used.

Good luck man. If you get real desperate for a smoke find some kids (teens) who skateboard and have long unkempt hair lol. They always have pot.

tripps: Thanks for the info. I will get some to keep on hand for the pH up. I think the pH on my BC nutes are a bit low for soil so a little silica could work well for me.

nilknarf420: Yes it is ! This was just a test run. I am now sitting on 5 Easy Rider Fems from Lowrider, 2 c99 x Blue Berry, and 2 c99 x AK47 from Joey Weed. Ready to get that going as soon as these are hung up to dry. I think I'm going to journal this next grow. Thanks for the advice about the skaters, I didn't even think about it.

countyspud: Thanks! Isn't hygrozyme mostly for hydro? $40/oz is cheap! I hope I can get it down to that in a few years! How long have you been growing? I want to do some tests myself, but I want to make sure these first few grows go as good as possible.
Ha! I've been growing since Aug 2008. Still a newb. Currently on my 3rd grow. I use well water which I'm lucky to have at my house with only 38 PPM so I save money there. So my only expenses are nutes and electricity, unless of course I give in to my compulsion and buy a new piece of equipment.
