![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Howdy all, I was thinking about why there is a need to switch from a balanced or high N formula to a high P formula for flowering. I mean I understand that during the veg phase the plant can take the extra N for growth and that a high P at that time aids in root development as well (from HighGuy ). I also understand the higher P is for the bud development, etc. But I am wondering people advise to use the superbloom formulas etc? The ones that have almost no N what so ever. This really seems to starve the plant with a lot of yellowing. It would seem like it would be better to stick with a balanced NPK and add another fert that is K only to supplement for the extra K that is need. Just curious as to what you'll thought about it.Peace LB

| You supplement with Blood Meal Tea. Blood Meal is the highest available water soluable N source in an organic. It works fast and supports soil chemistry. You can always use a super triple and some high N juice. It just what works for you. All I am saying is that if you don't use some source of high P from the start you are missing out on huge rewards. High P builds a huge root system. In addition high P increases I said INCREASES the number of budding sites AND high P produces HUGH FLOWERS!!!!!! If anyone has a thought please post. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree that it sounds like a good theory so I am going to test it out this next grow Those picts you had gave me the inspiration to try it out. I was wondering if you deviate from your mix from veg to flower or you just keep feeding it the same? I can't remember what you had said previously. So I am thinking of a soil-less mix of verm / perlite and a high P mix supplemented with a high N fert. Maybe the something like 12-55-6 and 8-0-0. Or does that sound like too little K? Just starting to think about it really, the are a few plants still finishing up I also kinda like the idea of he Bubbler System as a growing medium as opposed to the mix. I have read some good posts about that one. Peace LB Peace LB

| Try this for me. Get some Promix and pot it up (5 gallon well drained pot should do it). Put one seedling in and feed it 10-50-10. Use this 10-50-10 at 1/2 the recomended rate for potted plants. If the seed has just sprouted feed 5-10 drops per new seedling. See how fast it grows compared to seedlings not treated. Once the plant is 4-5 inches tall you can water with the 10-50-10 in solution. About every 2 waterings I put 1/2 cup sunlight dish detergent into 2 gallons water and use this to water the pots with. I also make sure the plants foliage get a good soak with it too. Moving air is a must for strong mainstems. I will feed 10-50-10 with the Blood Tea 3-4 times per week. Just keep in mind that I cut the rate in half. Use B1 starter solution for the first two or thee weeks at the products recomended rate. | ||
