| I fertilize almost every time that I water, but I use it at least 4 times weeker that the instructions call for. I flush the soil with straight water after several waterings with the fertilizer solution, just to make sure that deposites don't build up in the soil too much. I use Miracle Grow, but I don't have any experience with shultz. If you water with the weak solution almost every time, then you should be real careful, and watch for burning. When my plants get super dark green, then I flush them with straight water real well, and maybe don't fertilize for two of three waterings. Peace, Observer | ||

| Thumper, If you're outside your soil may provide much of the nutrients needed, go easy and pay attention to your plants. If you keep an eye on them you'll be able to tell when they're happy. My rule on fertilization is that it's better to err on the conservative side (too little). Stick with the 1/4 strenth every watering. By the way, organics are a little more forgiving than the higher N-P-K chemicals. I use fish emulsion, liquid seaweed, and Hi-P Bat Guano. Less is more JB | ||
