I like to use fertilizer every time that I water, but I use it real weak, like about a quarter strength, or so. Then, every so often you should run straight water throught it for a couple waterings to flush out any build up of solids from the fertilizer. The build ups can kill the plants if not kept under control. Water your plants heavily, then allow them to dry out a bit before watering again. This is better than watering just a little bit every day.

There are many possibilities for yellowing plants; Overwater, Underwater, Low N, Rootbound, Mg def, etc etc

A little more explanation may help....

I use Shultz 10-60-10 @ 0.6ml/l in soiless, every watering.
Leach using about 3 times clear water as the volume of the pots your plants a in. Only leach every month or so.
