| High, My 2 plants were both doing good until one of them started to turn yellow on some leaves. They are also drooping too. I was thinking it was a lack of nitrogen but im just a first timer so i have really no idea. The plant that this is happening too has two plants in one pot. when i poped the seed into the dirt it grew two seedlings and so i just grew them. Thanks | ||

| I am curently watering it every 2-5 days depending on when they need it because they are outdoors. I fertilize with miracle grow ever 3 waterings but i have cut back as of late because my plant is in this shape. This plant that is affected is in the same pot as another one but it is not looking this way. This is off the topic but how long on average dose it take the flowering prosses to finsh? Thanks for the help | ||

![]() | Your watering schedule sounds okay and your fertilizing method may or may not be the problem. Be careful not to overfertilize your plants because it will burn them. I grow outdoor also and I also use MG... I use 1/4 tsp. to one gallon distilled water with 1/2 tsp. of Dyna-Pro Gro-Tekt. Your next step is to test the PH of your water. I suggest buying some distilled water gallon jugs from your local supermarket and adding your nutes to that. Just mix them up really good. After you add your nutes, then test the PH (buy some PH Down because you'll most always be bringing the PH Down... not up.) You want the PH between 5.0 and 6.0... anything higher can have an effect that your plants have. Also, two plants in one pot? Hmmm... Depending on how large the pot is, you'll want a gallon for each foot they are tall. If you go by the rule of thumb of 1 gallon for every foot of the plant, you'll be cool. So, if your plant is 3 ft. tall, you'll need at least a 3 gallon pot. Combine the height of both plants and that'll tell you how big the pot should be right now. If they're each 2 ft., then you'd want a 4 gallon bucket... I suggest transplanting them to their own buckets... Flowering depends on each strain. You will know when the flowering (budding) process is finished by the color of the hairs on the bud. When they turn from the opaque-clear to a brownish, redish color... the time is near. A good rule of thumb is when 60% to 70% has changed colors.. start pluckin' Hope this helps. doob [This message has been edited by Doobious (edited August 28, 2000).] | ||
