![]() | I just recently bought some miracle gro patio formula(20-20-20) and i am just curious how much of this to mix with water, the box says to mix 1/4 tableteaspoon with one gallon of water and use it everyday. Does this sound like a good feeding technique for mj , anyone who uses this type of plant food please let me hear your suggestions. Thanks alot

Make sure you know if its a tablespoon of teaspoon that you're supposed to be using. Ferting is one of the hardest things to learn. It is good to remember that the soil will cover almost any mistakes with underferting, but overferting can get you into big trouble. My best rule of thumb would be to judge your plants and soil and get a rough idea of how much you will need, then use ˇ¸only 2/3 of what you thought you would need. After that you can very slowly give them more and watch how they react to it. Ferting takes experience. I've learned to watch everything that I do and to try to learn from my mistakes. Does this sound like a good feeding technique for mj , anyone who uses this type of plant food please let me hear your suggestions. Sure, its a great feeding technique! I use miracle gro and I usually go with a much lower concentration than what it says on the box, but I feed them more often. The problem that most people (including me) run into isn't how much you put into the mix, but how often you should feed with how much of the mix. Putting the food into every 2nd watering along with a much less concentrated mix will end up being very forgiving compared to what could happen if you feed a lot more at very sparse intervals. Good Growing, - Scott

![]() | This was my growing technique. I used MG Patio food and my plant turned out incredible. For veg growth: 1/4 tsp MG Patio per gallon of distilled water 1/2 tsp Pro-Tect Silicon additive Flower growth: 1/4 tsp MG Bloom Booster per gallon of distilled water 1/2 tsp Pro-Tect Silicon additive Aggressive Flower growth 1/2 tsp MG Bloom Booster per gallon 1/2 tsp Pro-Tect I would go on the standard wet/dry cycle to water... when the soil would get dry, that's when I'd water... sometime every 3 or 4 days... use the aggressive method for the last month or so of flowering... start by watering a little.. then move up. doob
