![]() | whatsup guys, im growing with a phototron that i bought from pyroponics and my mj LOOKS F#CKING GREAT!!!! The growth is unbelievable!!! but here are my questions... 1. Do these ferts affect the overall taste of the "product"? 2. Are organic ferts like guano and composte better?? i heard that guano increases the THC a lot and for some reason it supposedly make the taste better...T or F? 3. My girls are ready to flower, but ive been holding off until i find the best fert for budding....does anyone have any suggestions??? im using a VERY mild solution of MG (about half of what the directions say) right now but i think i should give them something better for the flowering stage. By the way...where can one buy bat guano??? Thanks a lot guys, "nugg" pharmer

![]() | I've heard that it is best to stop using any ferts during the last few weeks of flowering. Just before your harvest. So you feed your plants only water and lower the lights even beyond 12/12... from what I read somewhere that really stresses the plants to give up every last bit of THC. Plus the ferts will be out of the plants system... or mostly... K9

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey there pharmer As to fertilizers affecting the taste: it's a matter of opinion, mostly. As you might guess from my nick, I'm in the 100% organic camp, and personally I believe that organic substances produce better tasting, more robust produce - no matter what you're growing. However, many people can't really tell the difference. It's kind of like with beer - some people are happy with Bud and Corona, but others must insist on Guinness... The main advantage to organic nutrients is that they just about eliminate the possibility of burning your plants from overferting. The plant will take what it needs and leave the rest alone. Definitely NOT the case with chemical ferts, which you must be very careful with to avoid overferting. Guano is a very high nitrogen source, but it's expensive and often hard to find. (The part about it increasing THC is a load of guano though. ) If you live in an area with any kind of agricultural production, you should be able to find it at a farm supply or feed 'n seed store. It's also so high in N that you can burn your plants with it. If you can't find it, blood meal is a great alternative that many growers here have had success with. You should also be able to find it at Home De Pot or Lowe's or the local equivalent. Check out this post for everything you need to know about blood meal. There is something on flowering ferts (and a link to more info on organics) here, and I advise reading some of the old posts in this forum for more info. this board is a fantastic resource. - organic

![]() | ghetto i started out with Peter's 20-20-20 solution and figured that i would just use that until i found something better...but i never did find anything that worked any better. This $hit is ideal because it produces great results and its not really that easy to f#ck up..hehehe!! Its also pretty cheap ($5-$10) and the bag that they sell of this sh*t is more than enough to grow tons of pot!! "OR" you might want to use 'old reliable........Miracle Grow 15-7-15. This sh*t has been around forever...WHY? because it still produces great results and its pretty cheap too. I personally use and recommend this because i used to have the tendancy to want to overfertilize...and there is no better way to ruin an otherwise great crop!!! With MG the fert levels are lower...thus its harder to burn your plants!! I personally only use HALF of the recommended dose...and my plants are doing great!!! Remember...the less we f*ck with Mother Nature (or in this case Mary Jane...) the better off we will be. Hope this helps and good luck pharmer

![]() | This is a fertilizer idea I cooked up with a buddy thats in horticulture and agriculture. When I used it,even the immature budz were enough to make my buddy talk to the moon and believe it was replying. I used it like this: 2 liters of water use 1/2 the normal(what you put in 2L of water) amount fertilizer for either bloom/veg use 1/3 hydro fertilizer(I use 3/3/3)of what you would use in 2L of water 1-2 vitamin/mineral pills(get the ones with as many trace elements, vitamins, and minerals as you can) mix it all up,let it sit for a day so all the elements mix,and then use every OTHER feeding,as some minerals and elements may build up.EX:If you feed every 6 days, change to using HALF the amount of the mix on day 1,and then 1/2 the amount of water you would use on day 3,and repeat.Watch out you do not overwater. If you use 500ml every 6 days, use only 300ml mix day 1 and 300ml water day 3. The reason for the vitamin pills is that most ferts do not have these elements, minerals, and vitamins in them that the plants need, and get in nature.
