![]() | I transplanted my 19 day old 8" seedlings from 6" pots to the 3 gal pots i plan to flower them in last week.I have 12 plants all together under a 430w hps. When females show i figure i'll drop to maybe 6 or so.My question is that now they're about 11" and when i transplanted them i mixed about 1/2 strength blood meal into my Super Soil mix in the 3 gal pots only.My moisture meter says i'll be needeing to water in the next day or two.Should i need more ferts this time? How long does say 1/2 strength organic fert last? What are the signs of over-fert when using organics?oh yeah, this will be their first watering since the transplant(little plants in big pots don't need to be watered that often). MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody! LATER

![]() ![]() ![]() | sounds good. the plant will tell you when it needs ferts again; you should see increased growth for a while and if it slows appreciably, try giving it more. You can make "tea" out of the bloodmeal which is an easy way to supplement the water. usually you can't overfert with organics unless you *really* try. (you probably could have put in full strength if you're adding it to the soil.) plants respond to overferting the same way no matter how they get that way, the most common symptom is burned tips. You might want to check out this page for a bunch of info on blood meal and other organic ferts. good growin' rganic
