My friend wants me to use miracle grow. I want to try and keep my weed chemical free... but what effects does miracle grow have on the plant and the high? is it bad for you? Also, if I did use it, when and how do I flush my plants? to get the chemical out...

I am using miricle grow, a lot of people love the stuff. When you have about 2 weeks left in flowering, flush untill the water coming out the bottom is clear. Then feed with water only for the final 2 weeks. you will have absolutely no chemical taste. Chemical ferts are much easier to deal with than organics.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.

But I would like to use Miracle Grow and was wondering at what age or stage of the plant do you use it??

Do you follow the dosage on the bottle or a different mix

Thanks + peAce

Depends, you need to provide more info on your situtation.

Sol or Hydro?
Grow medium/soil?
What have you used so far?
How old are your plants?
Are they showing signs of distress?

In general, you should avoid using strong fertilizers like MG early in our plants life.

I have heard that the source of Nitrogen in MG (i.e. Urea) gets locked up in the plant and is very difficult to flush out.

thats an under-estimate organics not only make the final product taste and burn better, but you dont have to mix up solutions of chemical fert and water all the time before feeding, you mix in your organic goods before planting and water with plain aged water and let the breakdown process do its job..
